That's a terrible goal. Gilmour lets his man go. It's so simple. That is basic defending. Go with your man, go with your runners

You couldn't say they weren't warned. It's that diagonal ball again. It's poor defending from Tierney. What a poor goal to lose after two warnings

  16. 'Robertson & Tierney can handle right side'published at 19:37 British Summer Time 1 September 2021

    Denmark v Scotland (19:45)

Scotland head coach Steve Clarke is keeping his cards close to his chest on whether it's Kieran Tierney or Andy Robertson on the right.

"It was a blow to lose two right wing-backs," he tells Sky Sports. "We've decided to go with one of the two left-footed boys on the right.

"It's the same position, just a different side of the pitch. Both are capable of handling it.

"The team that's on the pitch is a good team, I said it would be a good team. It's not too far off the team I had in my mind."

  19. Can Scotland join Europe's lucky 13?published at 19:29 British Summer Time 1 September 2021

    Denmark v Scotland (19:45)

Scotland have not been to a 21st century World Cup, with our last appearance coming at France 1998.

The harsh truth is that we haven't even been close to getting back to the biggest stage of all since - not even a play-off.

The 10 European group winners will proceed directly to Qatar 2022, while the runners-up and best two Nations League group winners (not Scotland this time) go into a play-off sequence for just three places.

  20. 'I always look for Falkirk results'published at 19:26 British Summer Time 1 September 2021

    Denmark v Scotland (19:45)

Kasper Schmeichel played a blinder on his last Denmark appearance, making a series of good saves against England and stopping Harry Kane's extra-time penalty - only to see the Spurs striker knock in the rebound to settle the Euros semi-final.

The 34-year-old Leicester City keeper spent time on loan at Falkirk in 2007.

"Playing in Scotland was a massive part of my development," he said yesterday. "I met some amazing people that I am still in contact with and I am very grateful to the club. The manager (John Hughes) took me under his wing and looked after me really well.

"I still always look for Falkirk results, as with most of the clubs I have played for, and I only have fond memories."
