West Brom v Bristol City (kick-off delayed)

Kick-off has been delayed at the Hawthorns because of a medical emergency involving a fan in the home end.

A fan is being taken away by paramedics and we're expecting to get under way at about 15:15 BST.

We wish the supporter all the best.

  3. League Two fixturespublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 23 October 2021

League Two leaders Forest Green have just stuttered a little bit of late but they still have a four-point cushion over the chasing pack.

The host a Salford side who need to find some consistency if they're to start challenging at the top end of the table.

Second-paced Harrogate visit Hartlepool, who have a tremendous home record this season, and there should be a big crowd in at the County Ground where third-placed Swindon host a Bradford side who have flattered to deceive so far this campaign.

Down at the wrong end of the table time is running out for Neil Cox to turn things around at Scunthorpe, who host midtable Crawley this afternoon.

As we head rapidly towards November we're well and truly at the time of year where clubs unhappy with their start to the season start making changes in the dugout.

Charlton did just that on Thursday when they sacked Nigel Adkins after their wretched start to the season and they travel to promotion-chasing Sunderland today with Johnnie Jackson in caretaker charge.

Rock-bottom Doncaster need a positive result against Cheltenham or you fear Richie Wellens might also be in trouble and Danny Cowley knows his tenure as Portsmouth boss could be brought to a swift conclusion if they don't bounce back from conceding four goals in both of their past two games.

Here are all 12 runners and riders in League One today, all of which get under way at 15:00 BST:

    • Accrington Stanley v Portsmouth
    • AFC Wimbledon v Wigan Athletic
    • Bolton Wanderers v Gillingham
    • Burton Albion v Oxford United
    • Doncaster Rovers v Cheltenham Town
    • Ipswich Town v Fleetwood Town
    • Milton Keynes Dons v Rotherham United
    • Morecambe v Plymouth Argyle
    • Sheffield Wednesday v Lincoln City
    • Shrewsbury Town v Cambridge United
    • Sunderland v Charlton Athletic
    • Wycombe Wanderers v Crewe Alexandra

Birmingham are in a difficult patch having failed to win in their past seven matches. They host a Swansea side who came from behind to beat promotion-chasing West Brom in the week.

Three losses in four matches has seen Blackburn slip away from the top six. Can Rovers put things right against a Reading team just one point above them in the table?

Hull continue to struggle this term, their latest loss in midweek puts them two points off safety. The Tigers are at 10th-place Luton today.

Stoke are only out of the play-off places on goal difference. A good result against Millwall could see them break back into the top six.

And finally strugglers Peterborough, who got a much-needed victory over Hull last time out, could go four points clear of the drop if they take three points from their match with QPR.

  6. Bantams face tough Swindon testpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 23 October 2021

    Swindon v Bradford (15:00 BST)

    Presenter, Squad Goals

Two of the division's heavyweights face off at the County Ground in what's a standout game in the fourth tier. Both sides have promotion ambitions and Swindon fans are in buoyant mood.

Despite being third though, the Robins haven't won a league game at home since August. In Jonny Williams, they have a man who can change all that - he's shaken off injuries to score two in two, as Swindon's 7-game unbeaten run continues.

Bradford boss Derek Adams took Morecambe up last season but with only one win in in their last 11, he's got his work cut out. After their 3-1 home defeat to Hartlepool in midweek he says he's looking to bring in new faces in January. Nothing like an extra bit of motivation for his Bradford players...

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder but in the case of local rivals I'm pretty sure that isn't the case.

These Lancastrian foes haven't met in the league for over 10 years and haven't played each other at all since a League Cup tie in August 2013.

Basically, you know it's a big match when the away side arrange a beam back to their home stadium.

The Tangerines will be in high spirits after turning around a 2-0 deficit to beat Reading 3-2 in midweek while Preston also came back from behind to win in the week, as they overcame Coventry 2-1.

  8. Promotion hopefuls meet in League Onepublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 23 October 2021

MK Dons v Rotherham (15:00 BST)

    Joe Thompson
Former Rochdale and Tranmere midfielder on Squad Goals

It’s fifth playing sixth as Paul Warne’s Millers come to Stadium MK two points ahead of Liam Manning’s side.

MK Dons will be wanting to build on what was a terrific win away at Wigan on Tuesday. And they’ve been getting lots of plaudits for their attractive brand of football too.

Rotherham, on the other hand, have gone eight games unbeaten in all competitions and are in red-hot form, so this should be cracker!

  9. Can Cherries be topped?published at 14:40 British Summer Time 23 October 2021

    Bournemouth v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

Table-topping Bournemouth are the only unbeaten team in the EFL after a super start to the season.

They'll be looking to make it 14 games without defeat today against a Huddersfield side who are enjoying a pretty good opening to campaign themselves.

It should be said that the Terriers do not have good memories of their recent visits to this part of the world, with their past three visits seeing them lose 5-0, 2-1 and 4-0.

However, they have kept clean sheets in six of their 13 league games this season and will be confident of giving the Cherries a game today.

  10. Baggies look for extra bouncepublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 23 October 2021

West Brom v Bristol City (15:00 BST)

West Brom may be third but recent performances have left a lot to be desired.

Valerien Ismael's side are unbeaten at home in the league this season but there are signs that sides have begun to adapt to their gung-ho, in your face style of football.

Bristol City were sucker-punched by Nottingham Forest in midweek as their winless home run stretched to 17 matches, though Nigel Pearson's Robins are a different proposition on their travels.

However they've shipped 28 goals in their past 10 Championship meetings with the Baggies, with substitute Callum Robinson involved in eight goals in his past nine league games against them.

Bottom-of-the-table Derby County are at high-flying Coventry City this afternoon.

The Rams are seven points adrift but are unbeaten in their last four (three draws and one win).

Only league-leaders Bournemouth have conceded fewer goals in the Championship than Derby this season.

However, at the other end of the pitch, Wayne Rooney's side are the division's second-lowest scorers.

They're up against it as they face a Coventry team who have a perfect record at home - winning all six of their games, scoring 14 and conceding just three times.
