This will be very, very tough for Burnley because goalscoring opportunities have been few and far between.

Burnley have defended well, but Chelsea have been so dominant.

Has Ross Barkley taken his chance? He has definitely put his hand up to stake a claim.

He plays a nice outside-of-the-foot pass out wide to Reece James but the shot is well blocked.

Despite Brentford having most of the ball, they do deserve the lead, Norwich. They created really good, clear-cut opportunities and took the lead.

Chelsea have been very good in those wide areas, lots of energy from Reece James and Ben Chilwell. They're a massive threat.

It's been tricky for Burnley but they've managed to stay in this game to the point where they're only 1-0 down.

Arjun: People need to put some respect on the name of Reece James. Unquestionably a better right back than Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “Happiness. We played a really good game. We could have scored maybe a couple of more goals. Very happy with result and performance.

“We were expecting them to be more offensive and more pressing. We had to be ready to play out of the back and we did that very well and dominated possession.

“The more we could keep the ball the less opportunities we would give them. Scoring made it a bit easier as we were not forced to play as offensively. We could see what they had to offer.”

Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes speaking to Sky Sports: "Difficult to say something. It was not good enough from us. We have to change because this has happened many, many times already.

"We have to do better. Me being here, I am saying the same stuff. We have to speak less and do more.

"What we did was not enough. They had space and time on the ball, which we should not do against this type of team and against these types of players.

"If we want to be at the same level as them we have to do more because they show today we are not at the same level.

"Everyone has to look at themselves. You have to look in the mirror at what you are doing wrong. You cannot change the mentality of anyone else, you have to look at yourself and understand what you can do better."

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaking to Sky Sports: "Very difficult to talk now because we started the game badly. Passive. When they get the first goal, it was always going to be a difficult and it make it more difficult.

"David [De Gea] kept us in the game and then they scored a goal they always score. We know it’s going to happen and it shouldn’t happen.

"They played well. They don’t give you opportunities to win the ball of them. We were not at our level and standards need to be raised.

"The whole place went a little bit. You are disappointed with first goal but we did not play well. We don’t trust ourselves with the ball and don’t pass as well as I know we can. Sometimes wrong solution, sometimes right solution with the wrong execution.

"You want to make it a derby. Coming in to half time at 1-0 down you might have a chance.

"We have to get back to what we started to look like at the end of last season and start of this season. It has been a very difficult period. We need to be on the front foot more. I can't look at myself and say 'this is how I want Man United to play.'"

Janner: Its not even a real derby for City anymore. Pep Guardiola got a bit of stick for his out of context words about it not being a big game but if he did, who would blame him? Way too easy.

Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Sport: "Massively compliment to the players, they are the real artists for the way we played.

"To come here at Old Trafford, our rivals of the city, our neighbours and play the way we played was really good.

"Against them you want to attack quicker than you have to attack and if you don't finish the attack you will be attacked much, much quicker and that is where they are so good. That is why we needed a game with a thousand million passes. We need a game like with the ball in the fridge, keep it there.

"When you make a build up and break the lines and don't finish then Cristiano, Rashford Greenwood are there. We have to avoid that, and how do we do that? With the ball in our pocket. And to make an extra pass. We did it.

"When you have the ball you silence the stadium. I played once or twice here when they were better and said wow, the spectators support. But the best way to silence them is OK, give me the ball and play, play, play - don't let them run. When they don't have the ball they suffer like all talented teams. To see a team still running together.

"They tried [to respond in the second half] but could not do it, why? Because we had the ball.

Ross Barkley has been dying to get a shot off. You can see that every time he gets the ball, he's trying to move the ball quickly to get a shot.

That's why Jorginho just came and gave him a little pat on the back, because he can see he's trying. Barkley knows he has to play really well to stay in this team and he's playing well so far.
