  1. CLOSE!published at 16:10 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

    Livingston 0-1 St Mirren

Jackson Longridge beat three defenders as he twists his way into the box.

Again his driven shot is pushed wide by St Mirren goalkeeper Jak Alnwick and it looks to be heading in the back of the net.

  2. goal

GOAL Alloa Athletic 0-1 Cove Rangerspublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

    Rory McAllister

Cove could be heading to the top of League 1 instead of Dumbarton as Alloa, who were reduced to 10 men early in the first half, fall behind to Rory McAllister's goal.

  3. goal

GOAL Peterhead 2-0 Dumbartonpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

    Hamish Ritchie

It doesn't look like Dumbarton are heading to the top of League 1 as they fall two behind to lowly Peterhead.

  4. Postpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

    Heart of Midlothian 2-0 Motherwell

Hearts threaten to add a third early in the second half as goalscorer Liam Boyce reverses a pass to Cammy Devlin.

But the midfielder's strike back across goal rolls just past the far post.

  5. goal

GOAL Greeenock Morton 1-1 Arbroathpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

    Gary Oliver

Gary Oliver's second goal of the season pulls Morton, now a community owned club after this week's confirmed deal, level.

  6. goal

GOAL St Johnstone 3-0 Dundeepublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

    Stevie May

Deja vu must be kicking in for Dundee manager James McPake as another cross from the right is his side's undoing.

Michael O'Halloran's latest cross from that flank finds Stevie May and the striker picks out the bottom corner with a cute finish.

A long, long way back for bottom side Dundee now.

  11. HALF-TIME Dundee United 1-0 Ross Countypublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

It's been action packed at Tannadice - but just the one goal so far.

Ilmari Niskanen scored for United, the Finnish winger's first since signing for the Tannadice club, while Jeando Fuchs, Dylan Levitt and Nicky Clark could all have added to that lead.

But County have had chances too, with Blair Spittal and Harry Paton also threatening.

  12. HALF-TIME Livingston 0-1 St Mirrenpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

There's not been much to keep these sides apart in the first half, but after Ethan Erhahon’s opener, Livingston sparked into life.

Alan Forrest and Odin Bailey have both been unlucky to see shots met by an impressive Jak Alnwick in the St Mirren goal and the Englishman is the main reason the Buddies are still ahead.

Both midfields have battled well to try and control this game with the contest keenly poised at the interval.

  14. HALF-TIME Heart of Midlothian 2-0 Motherwellpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

Hearts are well on their way to the Premiership summit as a Liam Boyce penalty and a Stephen Kingsley free-kick have the hosts two goals to the good at the break.

Motherwell have struggled to get going but called Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon into action with two fine saves at the end of the half.

One goal for the visitors changes this completely. Can they find the net in the second period?

  15. Postpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

    Dundee United 1-0 Ross County

County's Blair Spittal creates some space for himself and has a go from distance but curls his shot around the wrong side of the far post.

Spittal has been on fire recently and you imagine the midfielder is the visitors' main hope of a comeback.

  16. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 2-0 Dundeepublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

It's not been the prettiest game at McDiarmid Park, but St Johnstone are in a very strong position.

Striker Chris Kane's first double since a 4-0 Saints win over Dundee in 2018 puts them in cruise control.

Dundee are staring at another defeat after creating zero clear-cut chances in the first 45 minutes.

Tony Watt's stunning strike from range is denied by an even better save!

Craig Gordon tips the effort over the bar and the Scotland goalkeeper is on hand again to get down to a Bevis Mugabi header.

Fantastic double save right on the half-time whistle.

  19. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 2 October 2021

    Dundee United 1-0 Ross County

United are motoring now and Jeando Fuchs lashes a shot just wide of the post.

Then Dylan Levitt has a shot deflected for a corner kick.

You get the feeling a second goal is not far away.

  20. goal
