    Rennes 2-0 PSG

25 minutes to go and PSG still haven't managed a shot on target.

Kylian Mbappe whips a shot over with his right foot. It's not clicking for Mauricio Pochettino's side in front of goal.

    Rennes 2-0 PSG

Kamaldeen Sulemana cuts in from the left and fires over from the edge of the box. This has been a really impressive display from the teenager.

    Rennes 2-0 PSG

PSG need the goals, but it's currently Rennes on the attack.

A ball is whipped across the six yard box by the excellent Kamaldeen Sulemana, using the outside of his foot, and Martin Terrier is inches away from getting a touch on it.

    Rennes 2-0 PSG

PSG last managed to come back from a two-goal deficit in Ligue 1 in May 2012.

Then, they clinched a 4-3 win at Valenciennes when trailing 2-0 after 11 minutes.

They have just over half an hour left to do that here.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 56 mins

    Rennes 2-0 PSG

A frustrated Gianluigi Donnarumma gets himself a yellow card after Jonas Martin and PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe both get bookings for squaring up.

The TV cameras turn to Mauro Icardi and Ander Herrera warming up on the sidelines.

    Rennes 2-0 PSG

Rennes have won just one of their past five Ligue 1 games - and two of their opening eight league fixtures.

The home fans are on their feet and bouncing with their arms around each other right now!

    Rennes 2-0 PSG

Will it be all-out attack from PSG now?

I'm not sure they can afford to do that given how dangerous the likes of Kamaldeen Sulemana look on the break, but Mauricio Pochettino's side need to find a response quickly.

    Rennes 1-0 PSG

We're back under way. Let's hope the second half is as good as the first.

  15. Laborde top of the chartspublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    HT: Rennes 1-0 PSG

Laborde's six goals this campaign actually make him the leading goalscorer in Ligue 1.

Three of his goals arrived in four matches for Montpellier before he joined Rennes at the start of September. It's looking like good business so far.

    HT: Rennes 1-0 PSG

That goal is Gaetan Laborde's sixth in nine Ligue 1 games so far this season.

Rennes made a superb start to the match but they had to weather a period of intense PSG pressure before Laborde's late strike.

That good spell for the visitors included Lionel Messi hitting the bar with a wonderful free-kick, while Neymar and Mbappe both missed glorious chances at close range.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 3 October 2021

    Rennes 1-0 PSG

Rennes take the lead with the final kick of the first half!

A superb first half showing from the hosts. PSG's 100% start is very much under threat here.

    Gaetan Laborde

Rennes make the breakthrough - and what a time to get it!

Kamaldeen Sulemana, Rennes best player of the first half, delivers an excellent cross from the left and Gaetan Laborde is waiting at the back post to slot in.

Angel Di Maria is in! The winger plays a neat one two on the edge of the box and breaks through the defence, but Alfred Gomis is there once again to save Rennes as he denies Neymar an easy tap-in.

PSG clear, though, and Mauricio Pochettino's side will now go in search of a goal of their own.
