Honours even then after tonight's windswept stalemate at the Hawthorns, where it wasn't just rain, sleet and snow coming down on Valerien Ismael and his players...

The boos which came at the finish were a reaction from fans, who can see them slipping behind the top two in a very competitive Championship.

Forest fans and Steve Cooper were in much greater spirits, as they continue their upturn.

More football in the EFL follows of course over the weekend, but on a night where the wind howls and the rain drenches, it's time to hunker down and settle in.

We'll be back, bright and definitely breezy, tomorrow.

    Sleep tight. Good night.

West Bromwich Albion continue their unbeaten home run despite going down to 10-men with Jayson Molumby's red card.

The Baggies should have pinched it at the end but sub Jordan Hugill somehow skied the ball over the top, and the boos which greeted the players at the final whistle tell you what the supporters made of it all.

Forest showed grit to tough out the times where they were on the back-foot and then delivered a terrific effort to try to snatch the game in the late stages when they had the man advantage.

Steve Cooper's side keep rolling, Baggies stuttering. Points shared.

Lewis Grabban stretches every sinew but cannot connect with a curling ball into the West Brom box by Joe Worrall.

    That was the moment.

Jordan Hugill... how have you missed pal?

One big ball into the Forest box is flicked on brilliantly into the path of centre-half Matt Clarke, who provides the cutest touch to Hugill.

The West Brom striker brushes off his man, it's one-on-one...

IT'S OVER THE BAR?! Boos cascade from the stands. That was a chance.

    West Brom 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest just push the ball around on the edge of the Baggies box, but the ball is eventually cleared and a foul by James Garner on Alex Mowatt chews down the clock.

Three minutes of added time for the Baggies to see out.

Another searching ball in from the left hand side gives West Brom more problems; Joe Lolley flings himself at it but it zips behind harmlessly just.

    Forest still raiding away.

Conor Townsend down holding his inner thigh/knee. Painful.

    West Brom 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Baggies fans might have come to The Hawthorns tonight wanting their side to rack up three points given their pressing need, but given the scenario of 10-men and the conditions, you'd like to think they'd be proud of the effort here.

Still time for someone to nick it.

The wind is starting to howl, the rain is starting to lash down, there's litter flying around on the pitch and in the stands (including my team sheet!!!) and I think Storm Arwen has finally struck.

    But can Forest?

It's horrible enough out there now for anything to happen.

Matt Clarke again clears the dangerous corner, with Forest midfielder Ryan Yates closing in.

Yates then powers the second delivery over the top. Missed opportunity quite literally.

Forest throwing plenty at it late on.

Matt Clarke goes full-on Platoon to save West Brom as Forest work the ball to Lewis Grabban in the box.

It was a full-length dive. It looked like it was the chance.

Corner. Beach ball on. Fished off by the fourth official.

    West Brom 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest get a corner after Cedric Kipre heads behind.

The ball sizzles in at pace and no one in a luminous shirt can connect with it.

Certainly can't blame the Forest kit for any missed passes.

    FT: Colchester 1-1 Newport

Nothing to separate Colchester and Newport as the full-time whistle blows in Essex.

Dom Telford brilliantly curled Newport ahead before the break with his 14th goal of the season before Freddie Sears' second-half chip earned a point for the hosts.

    West Brom 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Brennan Johnson has West Brom on a knife-edge as he tiptoes his way into the box for Forest.

The home side does enough to box him out, but you could see the fear in the Baggies defenders at not being able to put a foot in.

    West Brom 0-0 Nott'm Forest

West Brom come so close again.

Matt Phillips robs his man on the Forest right and drives down the left.

He fizzes a tempting ball across but no one is there to connect.

    West Brom 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Matt Phillips snatches up a loose pass and heads toward goal for West Brom, but Joe Worrall is there to deny him with a sliding challenge.

Forest don't look confident at the corner, Brice Samba didn't really commit.

    Another corner to come.

Before that though, Karlan Grant comes off for West Brom and Jordan Hugill brings his physical presence to the party.

West Brom try to shore up midfield after Molumby's red card as Adam Reach replaces Callum Robinson. Sacrificing forward play for numbers in the middle.
