    Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

Southampton's first chance as Will Smallbone crosses for Armando Broja, but his header lacks enough power and it's an easy stop for Jack Butland.

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

What a start for Crystal Palace. It's going to be a long evening for Southampton and it makes it very difficult going a goal down so early away from home - and especially the form Palace are in.

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

Crystal Palace have scored inside the opening two minutes of a Premier League game for only the sixth time.

  10. Postpublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2021

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton

Palace are up from 13th to eighth as things stand. They're starting to fly under Patrick Vieira, who is doing a very good job at Selhurst Park.

No real response from Southampton to that goal.

I was 8 miles away from Burnley and they call the game off last minute! Why couldn't the tests have been done this morning? On the plus side, Troost Ekong hasn't had a mare tonight and we haven't lost!

Should they stop away fans travelling? Stops the spread of Covid and prevents fans losing out like the Watford fans today.

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

Hwang Hee-Chan is down and in pain. He flattens Tariq Lamptey and immediately holds his left thigh. Not what Wolves need with Raul Jimenez already absent.

  15. Postpublished at 19:33 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2021

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

Brighton's turn to threaten but Wolves end the danger when Ruben Neves goes down holding his head. He's up pretty quickly as soon as the whistle is blown, though.
