    Send the fireworks and the glitter guns up to Manchester and call back the Premier League trophy engraver early from their holidays, the Premier League title race is surely done?

    Manchester City sit top of the standings with an 11-point lead after powering away from a three-horse race at the halfway stage.

    There are, of course, still plenty of points to play for and probably one or two twists to come but today City's closest challengers - Liverpool and Chelsea - meet in what will surely all but eliminate one of them out of the running.
