    But his diagonal ball into the area towards the back post and Charlie Austin runs too far and harmlessly behind for a goal kick.

    An early goal, but perhaps not the way we might've expected.

    Superb way for Stoke to end their goal drought.

    Stoke counter quickly from inside their own half and Mario Vrancic plays a superb through ball over the halfway line that Tyrese Campbell times his run onto majestically.

    Takes a couple of touches as he runs into the box and then calmly slots it into the bottom right corner for the opening goal.

    Energetic start to this game despite the damp conditions.

    Good intensity from QPR and it's not hard to see why they're a team in form.

    Down the other end, Seny Dieng makes a fine stop, even though he didn't actually need to.

    But he wasn't to know that Steven Fletcher had crept just offside from Tyrese Campbell's poked ball through and Dieng stopped the Scotland international not just once, but twice from close range.

    He then gets to his feet and realises the flag had gone up even if the whistle hadn't been blown.

    QPR so close once again and Ilias Chair denied by a fine save from Stoke keeper Adam Davies.

    Somehow despite being the shortest man on the pitch, Chair manages to get his head on a cross from the left and the ball skids across the wet pitch towards goal only for Davies to palm it away to his left.
