Aberdeen midfielder Funso Ojo is controversially sent off as the first half comes to a chaotic close.

The midfielder's momentum takes him towards the United fans behind the goal, where a supporter reaches out and pushes him.

In the ensuing melee, Ojo receives a second yellow and heads angrily for the dressing room.

Any chances Hearts have had have come from winger Barrie McKay playing a long ball forward.

They try that tactic again and Josh Ginnelly reaches the ball in the box but is tackled before he can get his shot away.

The winger's calls for a penalty are waved away. Close call.

Dons striker Christian Ramirez and United defender Ryan Edwards square up and Butcher intervenes, flicking a hand towards the striker's privates.

Motherwell are furious after a breakaway move is cut short.

Tony Watt cuts inside one defender on the edge of the box, then knocks the ball to a team-mate just after Michael Smith trips over his outstretched leg, which referee Willie Collum deems a free-kick to the visitors.

The Livingston winger twists and turns as he drives at the St Mirren defence then unleashes a powerful blast that goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has to beat away.

St Mirren are forced into a substitution against Livingston, with Conor McCarthy hobbling off and replaced with Charles Dunne in defence.

Dundee United 0-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen defender Jack MacKenzie and United midfielder Peter Pawlett receive treatment after a nasty clash of heads.

MacKenzie looks to have come off worst and rises gingerly to his feet. He is checked by the medical staff before being allowed to continue with a few sighs of relief no doubt in the home dugout as the full-back has returned earlier than expected from injury.

Aberdeen full-back Jack Gurr gallops forward on to a loose ball and slashes a shot into the side-netting.

United respond instantly with a break upfield that ends with right-back Kieran Freeman firing narrowly past the far post.

Hearts are looking unusually lacklustre. Striker Tony Watt fires a shot into a ruck of bodies and Hearts defender Stephen Kingsley has to block it.

Hearts are on the ropes and have Craig Gordon to thank for denying Motherwell a second.

Barry Maguire collects a corner, has time to set himself and the midfielder's shot towards the top corner is pushed away by the Scotland goalkeeper.
