    Dundee United 0-1 Hibernian

Drey Wright should probably make it 2-0 to Hibs. Another cross comes in from Chris Cadden and he can't head home from six yards out.

He was facing the wrong way by the time the ball arrived and it just hit off him really. It looks like he's complaining about a tug, but his appeal is half-hearted.

    Rangers 2-0 St Mirren

Alfredo Morelos could quite easily have the match ball already.

Ryan Kent guides in a fine cross and Morelos glances it just wide of the back post.

The Colombian is in fine form this afternoon.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Motherwell 1-0 Livingston

On the opposite side of the box that Van Veen scored the opener from, Motherwell have another free-kick in an enticing position.

Sean Goss steps up for this and his attempt beats the wall, but Max Stryjek is there to stop this one from crossing the line.

    Ben Woodburn

Ben Woodburn doubles Hearts lead thanks to a helping hand from Ross County defender Harry Clarke.

The on-loan Liverpool midfielder collects a long ball, steps to the right, and shot deflects off the boot of Clarke to outwit goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw.

    Hearts 1-0 Ross County

If anything is going to happen for Ross County, it looks likely to come through Dominic Samuel who has two chances inside a minute.

First, he shows quick feet to step away from his marker but his shot is straight at goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

Then he rises highest to get to a cross but can't keep it on target.

    Kevin Nisbet

Finally, a bit of good quality. Hibs work it from back to front, and the cross comes in.

Chris Cadden has a lash and it's blocked, then Martin Boyle drives the ball goalward, where Kevin Nisbet is waiting to tap home.

There was a delay as referee Willie Collum consulted his assistant about a potential offside. Goal given, though.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Rangers 2-0 St Mirren

Alfredo Morelos has been absolutely fantastic so far as he forces Jak Alniwck into another fine stop.

The Rangers striker is slipped into the right of the St Mirren box and drills an effort towards the near post, but Alnwick parries away.

The ex-Ibrox keeper then has to get down to his left again to stop Joe Aribo.

  9. Postpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Motherwell 1-0 Livingston

Livingston string their best passage of play together across the Motherwell box.

Alan Forrest, Stephane Omeonga and Andrew Shinnie combine well but fail to find any real quality to round the move off.

  13. Postpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Hearts 1-0 Ross County

Michael Smith is not known for being a prolific goalscorer, yet the Hearts defender should really have two goals this afternoon.

The full-back, who opened the scoring, breaks though a gap ahead of two County defenders, but pokes his shot the wrong side of the post.

    Dundee United 0-0 Hibernian

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tannadice

The first two minutes of this game was fast and frenetic and unfortunately since then it’s been pretty bleak in terms of chances. Both managers - Thomas Courts and Shaun Maloney - are getting drenched as they brave the edge of their technical areas to bark instructions in the pouring rain.

He races down the right to reach a cross before drilling a shot from distance just wide of the far post.
