  1. 'Man Utd have good balance'published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

This Manchester United side has good balance, lots of good fluidity. When Cristiano Ronaldo didn't start against Aston Villa, they looked really good on the eye. Bruno Fernandes seemed to enjoy being the main man, playing with Ronaldo has hindered him. Paul Pogba is back, with his passing range. I'm really eager to see how they do.

  2. Postpublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Everton

Andros Townsend is a threat in this.

He buys himself a yard on the edge of the box with a step over but sees his shot deflect wide for a corner.

  3. Postpublished at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Everton

    Alistair Magowan
BBC Sport at St James' Park

Keenly contested, but very scrappy so far.

Someone needs to put their foot on the ball in midfield, someone like the Everton manager Frank Lampard used to.

Everton fans then start to sing his name in response to the Newcastle supporters taunting them with chants of Rafael Benitez.

    All good clean fun.

  4. Postpublished at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    West Ham 0-0 Watford

Tell you what, this is a real chance!

Watford break really well and Hassane Kamara's cross finds the well-placed Juraj Kucka in the box. He gets their first but can only head back across goal and wide. Should have hit the target. Probably should have scored.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

Mike Dean blows his whistle and the last game to kick off today is under way.

  6. Postpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Everton

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

That's early for a yellow card, 13 minutes into the game.

If you were Newcastle you would try to get at Mason Holgate.

  7. Postpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Everton

Another effort at the Everton goal, this time from Chris Wood, who steers a header on target from Kieran Trippier's free-kick. Lacks power, though. Easy save.

Burnley v Man Utd (20:00 GMT)

Spots of rain dot the camera lens as it follows the players out onto the pitch. It is very wet at Turf Moor and even Sean Dyche has his coat buttoned up to the top.

  9. 'Burnley need momentum'published at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

Burnley v Man Utd (20:00 GMT)

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is so important at both ends of the table. Burnley are desperate to get that second win of the season to get that momentum; ro start doing what we're so accustomed with Burnley doing, pulling away from trouble. Thwy are leaving it really late to start, but it must start in a game like this tonight. Manchester United need to get back to winning ways.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Everton

A booking for Mason Holgate, courtesy of a late boot in on Ryan Fraser that leaves the winger down on the turf and holding his ankle.

Nickbee3241: The boos for Pickford, show just how childish and immature football fans (not all) really are. All for having the gall to play for a rival.

  13. Postpublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Everton

Little sniff of goal for Richarlison. He tries to steer an effort on goal from range but fails. Such a big player for the Toffees. Getting him firing is right up there on Frank Lampard's to-do list.

  14. Postpublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    West Ham 0-0 Watford

West Ham got plenty of practice trying to break down a stubborn, committed opponent at the weekend. And they got lucky at Kidderminster in the FA Cup to be fair.

  15. Postpublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    West Ham 0-0 Watford

    James Collins
Former West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

They look really sharp, Watford. I don't know what Roy Hodgson has been doing with them on the training pitch but it has been an impressive start.

  16. Postpublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    West Ham 0-0 Watford

Watford are certainly a different beast now under Roy Hodgson, even though it has only been a game and a bit. There is a structure.

As he said before the game, though, the next bit is adding goals.

  17. Postpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

Jordan Pickford drawn into a save. It is made easier by by a deflection to take the sting out of Jonjo Shelvey's effort from the edge of the box.

  18. Postpublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Everton

Everton's first glimpse of goal. Seamus Coleman's driven cross to the back post is superb and met by Andros Townsend, but his downward header bounces tamely wide.

  19. Top four aim for Man Utdpublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Burnley v Man Utd (20:00GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Turf Moor

Ralf Rangnick said yesterday that 'everybody on the inside of the club including myself' would be happy if Manchester United finished fourth this season.

Considering the campaign is just over its halfway point and United will only be three points behind Chelsea if they win their two games in hand - and could be level with Thomas Tuchel's men before they play again - it was a startling admission.

Rangnick is adamant the club has made progress since his arrival 10 weeks ago. Victory tonight would be their third Premier League triumph in a row for only the second time this season.

  20. 'Newcastle are frenetic'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Everton

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Joelinton has been terrific, he was against Watford. At the minute, Everton are sloppy in the possession and are inviting pressure. Newcastle are a bit frenetic; they need to take some speed out of their play, but it has been a good start.
