BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium
I asked Thomas Frank if Christian Eriksen could be involved against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
He hasn't ruled it out.
"We will take it day by day," he said. "He will train Thursday and Friday and then we will assess how he looks."

More from Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard to BBC: "Chaos is the right word. Even I needed a breather at half time. It was a great advert for the Premier League but we need to improve defensively and stop giving sloppy goals away.
"A lot to be pleased about. Our goals were superb. We conceded at a poor time just before the break but Leeds probably deserved that. It was certainly not a game for coaches but for fans.
"I think it would have been slightly unfair on Leeds had we gone in 3-1 up at the break. Jacob Ramsey keeps getting better each game. Philippe Coutinho is getting back to his best. It was a great experience being alongside Bielsa. We need to learn from that."
On Philippe Coutinho: "He's still got improvements to do from a physical point of view but in terms of his technical ability you don't play for Brazil that many times or become a global superstar without that talent. He will get better and better. He is a joy to work with."

Leeds United
More from Marcelo Bielsa on Patrick Bamford: "He has a problem in his foot which is preventing him from running due to the pain. He's having treatment which isn't taking the pain away at the moment.
"The first step for his recovery is that he is able to move. That hasn't happened and it's impossible to imagine when that's going to happen."

Aston Villa
Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard: "We wanted to take the sting out of the game. It was frantic, end-to-end and 100 mph. We almost brought into the Leeds style and we needed more calm heads out there so it looked more like our style. It would have been unfair to go in 3-1 up I think. Leeds deserved that goal. They had a lot of movement and runners outside. We didn't have the same creativity ourselves going forward in the second half. A draw was the right result. A fun game for the fans tonight but not one for the coaches!
"It was vintage Philippe Coutinho tonight. He's certainly getting back close to where he was when the whole world was speaking about him. There was a lot to be pleased about in terms of our forward-play. Defensively we have to improve but Leeds are really unique. It was a wonderful game, just not for me!
"We're still learning a lot about the players and they are about us. Leeds take you places you don't want to go. They have pace and talent. We will try and improve but sometimes you have to pay credit to the opposition as well."
On Jacob Ramsey: "He's not following in anyone's footsteps. Jacob Ramsey is Jacob Ramsey. He will be a terrific polayer. It won't be long before the whole country is watching him I'm sure. He is right up there let me tell you."
FT: Aston Villa 3-3 Leeds
Leeds United
Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa to BBC: "It was a disputed game. The dominance was alternate with moments for one team with possibilities and then the other way around as well.
"At the start I don't know exactly when we were dominating until and were superior but some things we didn't continue doing and the game became unbalanced.
"It was difficult but we got a stimulus at the end of the first half which got us closer. In the second half we slowly started to deserve a draw.
"A draw was the fair result."
FT: Man City 2-0 Brentford
Manchester City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC's Match of the Day: "This was an important victory, three more points to reach 60 with 14 games left, next up Norwich.
"Riyad Mahrez was especially good and so solid in the penalty, which we struggled with in previous seasons. It was difficult for the wingers as they did not have space, but we won."
"Joao Cancelo was the best winger we had, he was better than our [traditional] wingers. He was really good, him and John Stones were so important today to create more space for the other guys with their movement."
Norwich 1-1 Crystal Palace
Norwich City
Norwich boss Dean Smith to BBC Sport: "Teemu [Pukki] had another couple of chances, we could have got a second and killed the game off.
"They had an awful lot of ball but the way we decided to go with two up front, we give a man up in midfield and the opposition will have the ball. All of their efforts were outside the box. We’re a tough team to beat the moment.
"The players worked extremely hard. With two up front it gives us a goal threat, we saw that with the goal - a great set back from Adam [Idah]. We control where the ball goes.
"Unfortunately Palace found the solutions and gave us problems. We had to change the system. Fortunately they missed the penalty. I thought we deserved a draw in the end. The game is about fine margins. I felt it should have been our throw-in which led to their possession which led to their goal. Fine margins can decide the game. On another day he scores [the penalty] but today thankfully he didn’t.
"We are trying to suck as many teams in [to the relegation battle] as we can. I like the character the players are showing and the steeliness to be hard to beat."
FT: Man City 2-0 Brentford
Brentford
Brentford manager Thomas Frank speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I think looking from a defensive perspective it was almost the perfect performance.
"But the two goals we give away are both from mistakes - it was a penalty we should never have given away, then the second was a big mistake. That's the disappointing thing.
"We made it so difficult for them with strong discipline, but in the decisive moments we don't take our chances and then get punished at the other end.
"Overall, the performance I was pleased with, that should give us confidence.
"The two mistakes are so big. We will learn from that but when you look at their quality on the pitch it is unbelievable."
On their poor run of form: "It's very important to look at the performance and our work ethic and attitude. I would say our last four performances have been good, so if we keep the mentality high and stay positive then we will be fine."
On Ivan Toney's absence: "I hope Ivan Toney will be back [for the next game]. He will be assessed then I hope he will be ready."
FT: Tottenham 2-3 Southampton
Southampton
Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl tells BBC MOTD: "I did not know this was my 500th game (as manager) and definitely one of the better one. We played fantastic football today and deserved to take something. I would have been happy with a point because of the chances we created. We believed in us and the mentality and character of the team is outrageous, it is fantastic to watch, they are fighting for everything. We played fantastic football and played 23 passes before the second goal. Fantastic.
"You can play the ball round the box but the decisive ball is the last one into the box. Che Adams made a super header, super beautiful goals. The whole performance was by far the best since I was here."
On Tottenham's second goal: "When you see the duel (between Emerson Royal and Armando Broja), he was with the elbow on his neck and nine times out of them that is a foul, he let it run and gave the goal. There was a clear penalty in the first half for a handball. The good thing is that we tried it put these things away and focus on ourselves. When Tottenham score a goal they sit back but we had the tools today to break them down.
"If you want to take something against teams like Tottenham, you have to be better than them. They only need two or three chances and they will kill you, that is the quality of the Premier League."
FT: Aston Villa 3-3 Leeds
Leeds United
Luke Ayling on whether he enjoyed playing against Phillipe Coutinho: "No! Naa, we worked hard to get here so when you come up against players like that it's a good learning curve but I stuck to my task and I felt I did alright as the game went on."
FT: Tottenham 2-3 Southampton
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte: "It was a pity because in the first half we struggled against them but in the second half we played well and scored a goal. But then in that moment you have to try to keep the result until the end. We had other chances to score as well but last time against Leicester we were losing 2-1 and lost 3-2, but this time we were leading 2-1 and lost 3-2. There is a long way in front of us and we have to be more better to manage the game in different situations. There are many parts of the game and we can improve in this aspect.
"The message at half-time was, in the first half we made many mistakes and many times the pass was not good and we risked complicating our life today. This is a part of the process and you have to try to improve, to understand when there is a bit of pressure you have to be more accurate in the pass and decision making. The players gave everything tonight and that is why it was a pity to lose the game. When you give everything and lose, that is no good.
"I repeat, in the first half everytime we moved the ball we found the situation for chances to score. In the first half maybe we made some mistakes on the ball and it gave us a bit of instability. We have to try to improve in this aspect. I know very well that this team is young, many players have to play to get the experience especially in this league. I knew there was a lot of job to go."
FT: Norwich 1-1 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira to BBC Sport: "We played quite a good game but not good enough. There is a lot of frustration in the dressing room with the way we started. We let ourselves down with conceding the first goal.
"We showed character and personality. We got into the game and created chances. We were much better in the second half.
"It was a fantastic goal, Wilf [Zaha] at his best. We need him to produce more goals and performances like that. He was really good for us.
"The penalty is always a penalty. He misses it but that’s part of the game. We didn’t create enough chances. We didn’t give them enough trouble in the box to create more chances. I'm frustrated because there was space for us to win the game.
"The performance today is good. But we need to improve and do a little more. We have to play with more belief in ourselves to win football matches. Something was missing today. We showed good spirit in the second half and fought. We were by far the better team in the second half.
"Tyrick Mitchell has been fantastic since the start of the season. He believed more in his ability and today he was unbelievable in both areas. He created the penalty. Going forward he’s excellent. He’s building confidence and there's more to come from him."
FT: Aston Villa 3-3 Leeds
Aston Villa
Aston Villa goalscorer Jacob Ramsey: "We should have killed the game really at 3-1 up. In the second half I thought we were poor. It was like a basketball game. I think we're disappointed with a draw.
"I'm obviously over the moon to get two goals at Villa Park in a big game but we let in two silly goals so I'm still disappointed.
"If we go into the break 3-1 I think we come out better but they got that goal just before half time. It's a game we need to look over and pick the positives out. It's two points dropped but one we'll take."
On Steven Gerrard's influence: "He has given me a lot of confidence. I grew up watching up so now he's a gaffer I can only take his advice."
On Phillipe Coutinho: "In the first half I thought we linked up well. He set-up two goals for me and obviously got one himself too."
FT: Aston Villa 3-3 Leeds
Well. That was eventful.
FT: Man City 2-0 Brentford
Manchester City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BT Sport: "They are so difficult to attack. Aggressive, high pressing, we build up they drop and defend so deep. Be patient, make no mistakes and in the end we got the result.
"Very satisfied with the performance. We conceded one shot, a few corners and were patient. Difficult when they defend deep with 10 players in their 18-yard box."
On the title race: "Liverpool have two games to play then we see the gap - 14 games to play, many points to play for and more tough games like today.
"Everyone is tough competition, but it is impressive at this stage to have 60 points - we have done incredibly well so far."
FT: Aston Villa 3-3 Leeds
Leeds United
Leeds goalscorer Dan James to BT Sport: "Thankfully it went into the bottom corner and it was a great start for us. We're obviously disappointed to concede those three goals in the first half but we came back and got the point.
"The game was with them a bit but we came out and controlled the game a bit more. I thought we played well today.
"I want to score more and get more assists. I've got to keep pushing and making those runs. We've had injuries in the team. It might not be my preferred position but I'm learning every day.
"We always want additions for the squad. The young lads who have played have done well but we obviously want those players back."
Aston Villa 3-3 Leeds
A wild game but it ends in a draw. Villa will probably take that.
Aston Villa 3-3 Leeds
Rodrigo is angry a free-kick goes Leeds' way and he hammers the ball away. That will only hope Villa and he's got a yellow card too. Silly.
