It's been a really positive performance in the second half.

Wales have been a lot more compact, nullified the spaces, and looked a threat on the counter-attack.

    Chance for Wales!

A clever header by Connor Roberts, but Brennan Johnson flashes a volley wide.

Rhys Norrington-Davies off for Tyler Roberts.

    Defender off for striker.

Dissent for protesting a decision where you end up being proven right, and yet your yellow card stands.

That's another VAR issue and one I'd never thought of, until tonight.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 79 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Very harshly, Gareth Bale got booked for arguing a decision that ended up being overturned.

His yellow card of course, stands, the penalty decision does not.

It's a great tackle. Kevin De Bruyne gets there first but Joe Morrell gets the second touch.

I mean that looks a pretty obvious error.

The referee has been asked to go to the monitor.

Joe Morrell pretty clearly touches the ball.

  9. PENALTYpublished at 77 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

    Penalty for Belgium.

Joe Morrell adjudged to foul Kevin De Bruyne. It's super harsh.

Much better from Wales. One of the things I have liked in recent games is that they have tried to press higher, but sometimes you have to respect the opposition.

The manager has dropped the line, players are pressing in the right areas, and we are probably a better counter-attacking team than a possession team at this moment.

I can see Wales getting something.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Some real flashes of class from Brennan Johnson tonight.

Youri Tielemans is off, Hans Vanaken replaces him.

Good break for Wales and Dan James crosses into a lovely area, Kieffer Moore probably tried to head that in off the substitutes' bench.

Win, lose or draw, the Wales fans have seen a much-improved performance in this second half.

All credit to Robert Page and the lads. It's not easy against the second best team in the world.

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

For about 25 minutes tonight, Belgium looked like the side they've always looked like they could be with this, their golden generation of players.

In the second-half they've looked more like their results of recent years.

Wales could well nick a point here and at one stage, they could have been five or six goals behind.

Brilliant play by Dan James down that left-hand side.

It's a lovely ball and a great run across the defender from Gareth Bale, but it takes a deflection and goes out for a corner.

There is some real quality coming onto the pitch for both teams.

We know Gareth Bale can get you back in a game in a moment.
