Much better game now, tempo, really competitive.

So here come lots of subs to knock that on the head.

  2. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Clever freekick routine from Belgium, but Youri Tielemans' shot deflects wide off Neco Williams.

Ethan Ampadu is booked for tagging back Eden Hazard.

His second booking of the campaign also.

Tactically Robert Page has made adjustments at half-time.

Matt Smith is staying alongside Ethan Ampadu and we are looking to press as a proper front three.

It's been a brilliant start to the second half from Wales - game on.

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Wales are looking much sharper after the break.

Credit to them, because they looked completely beaten as we approached half-time.

Kevin De Bruyne is showing a little frustration.

He is starting to think this team just won't go away.

They do it all the time against Belgium, it seems.

    That's an absolutely brilliant goal.

Brennan Johnson does brilliantly, skips past players and then clips a beautiful ball to the back post and it's classic Kieffer Moore.

He gets above defenders and the keeper has no chance.

Excellent composure there from Brennan Johnson.

For the first time he exposed the obvious lack of pace in the Belgium defence with a brilliant turn and run and his cross was absolutely perfect.

    Kieffer Moore

    Wales are back into things!

Brennan Johnson puts on the burners, crosses brilliantly and Kieffer Moore wins his header - of course he does - and Thibaut Courtois can't keep it out.

    Game on.

I think Rob Page will have said at half-time we need to tactically shape up a bit, himself included.

I am watching him and he is getting frustrated.

That's about as much culture as I can provide.

No substitutions by Wales by the way, which surprises, because they looked a tactical mess before the break.

There's a lot to admire from Belgium but we are probably playing into their hands a little bit.

Our pressing game has been one of the things we have done well in the last few years but it's not quite right tonight.

It will be interesting to see now if the boss drops us a bit deeper. We are giving them so much space and time and making them look even better than they are.

Apart from the opening five or six minutes, it's probably been the worst performance I have seen from a Wales team for a long time.

Belgium ask different questions of you with their movement and quality and we really have been found wanting.

I think you saw players not understanding who they should be marking, their roles and responsibilities.

Kevin De Bruyne... it's been an absolute masterclass, but Wales have made it easy for him.

Wales need to be careful. This could become a training session.

It's tactical for Robert Page now. He really has to pull the boys together.

The back five and the boys up front are really struggling with the system.

Wales don't often get hammered - they have a knack of finding ways to stay in games - but this was always going to have the potential of getting messy.

  19. HALF-TIME - Belgium 2-0 Walespublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 22 September 2022

    No added on time.

    Wales will be very grateful.

They are 2-0 down and that flatters them.

Wales win another corner and Kieffer Moore half wins his header, but Neco Williams tries to curl and goal and it deflects off a Wales player and wide.
