Manolo Gabbiadini should probably make it 2-0. He runs in behind the England defence far too easily and is denied by the legs of Nick Pope.

England teenager Jude Bellingham tries to wriggle himself into some space and shuffles the ball onto his left foot before shooting high and wide from 25 yards.

Good defending by Eric Dier to stop Manolo Gabbiadini running in one on one with his first touch. That move was started by more good play by Leonardo Bonucci.

Gianluigi Donnarumma punches away Reece James' whipped-in free-kick.

Josh Earl: What a touch from Raspadori, and not a bad finish either. Defensively poor from an England perspective, but still a very good goal. Italy deserve to be in front.

SUBSTITUTION

Italy bring on ex-Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini for goalscorer Giacomo Raspadori. This is Gabbiadini's first cap since 2017.

YELLOW CARD

Jack Grealish is fouled by Giovanni di Lorenzo, who gets booked. Free-kick to England on the left wing.

Italy, for all their famous attacking players, have had very few prolific international scorers.

England keeper Nick Pope has to come out of his box to clear and stop Wilfried Gnonto getting in.

Germany continue to press in Leipzig. They need to find a goal to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the finals.

They have been a lot better in this second half but another effort is headed away by Adam Lang.

Finally England get something going. A nice passing move ends with Jude Bellingham finding Harry Kane in space in the box.

The England striker has a shot from a tight angle, saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma. And he has another crack from the rebound. Saved again. Much better though.

You'd struggle to name any good England chances in this whole game.

They have 15 minutes to score their second competitive goal of 2022 and keep their survival hopes alive.

England are set to go five games without a win for the first time since June 2014.

Hungary seem to have weathered that initial Germany storm quite well. The game has become a bit scrappy with both sides making substitutions.

Well... I say that. Martin Adam is played in down the left-hand side for Hungary and his strike across goal is tipped to safety by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

As things stand Hungary won't qualify for the finals today because of Italy beating England. It'll be a shootout between those two on Monday.

A piece of cold quality. It was going to take something like that to define this game and steal it for either side. Raspadori has turned up with a real piece of quality. Not just the finish, the initial touch from the long ball from Bonucci was absolutely majestic.

SUBSTITUTION

England bring on Jack Grealish and Luke Shaw for Bukayo Saka and Kyle Walker.

That's a standard back four now for England.

England have conceded as many goals in their last two games as they had in their previous 12 (five).

As things stand, England will be relegated to League B of the Nations League. That's the second tier.

Italy open the scoring with the first effort on target by either side in this half.

Napoli striker Giacomo Raspadori is given far too much time here. He controls Leonardo Bonucci's ball brilliantly, turns around, cuts inside and then curls a beauty in from 16 yards.
