    Hibernian 0-0 Cove Rangers

Jamie Masson has a follow-up attempt charged down.

Joe Newell floats a lovely ball over the top of the Cove defence. It's perfect for Christian Doidge to run on to but the Hibs striker takes a poor touch, hitting it against a defender.

Hibs are running out of ideas. Cove are doing well to cut down the channels. The balls that have come into the box, Christian Doidge has won them, but he's has no-one around him to feed off of.

Ewan Henderson has been the one bright spark in the Hibs team. He's shown energy, good ability, he wants to go forward, he wants to create things, he's the only Hibs player showing a bit of urgency tonight.

  12. HALF-TIME Hibernian 0-0 Cove Rangerspublished at 45+1 mins

No goals yet. Hibs have huffed and puffed but they've created a few decent chances and the big talking point is the disallowed effort from Christian Doidge.

The striker was well onside as he ran through to slot past the keeper.

Doidge headed narrowly wide and had an overhead kick saved, while Josh Doig really should have done better with a volley in front of goal.

  13. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Cove Rangers

Two great crosses in quick succession from Chris Cadden. The first is cleared with not enough Hibs players forward, the second is volleyed over by Josh Doig, via the fingertips of Kyle Gourlay.

The officials don't spot the save though.

Here's Christian Doidge again, with a spectacular overhead kick attempt. The ball shoots straight into the grateful hands of goalie Kyle Gourlay.

Just looking at pictures of that disallowed goal from Christian Doidge and it appears to be another incorrect call from the linesman.

Hibs' best passing sequence so far progresses them to the edge of the Cove penalty area but a poor choice from Ewan Henderson lets the side down.

  18. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 34 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Cove Rangers

Fraser Fyvie gets away with one there as he tries to thread a clearing pass through two Hibs players and gets it all wrong. Once again an offside call goes against Christian Doidge, who runs through to slot the ball in. Very tight.

  19. Postpublished at 32 mins

A sclaffed corner causes some confusion in the Hibs penalty area. A Cove shot is charged down and then another one, from Morgyn Neill, is gathered by goalkeeper Matt Macey.
