    Barnsley made it three wins in four games to climb off the foot of the table and to within six points of safety.

    Grant McCann's return to Peterborough went terribly as they lost 3-0 to his former side Hull City.

    Reading got thumped 4-1 at Blackpool and, despite Cardiff and Birmingham both losing again, it really does look like it will be three of those four who go down to League One.

    • Crawley beat League Two leaders Forest Green 2-1 but the 10-point gap at the top remains as Northampton and Tranmere also lost at Rochdale and Newport respectively.
    • Mark Hughes' return to management at Bradford didn't go to plan as Mansfield won 2-0.
    • Sutton cemented their play-off push with a 4-1 thrashing of lowly Scunthorpe, but seventh-placed Swindon conceded twice late on to lose at home to Salford.
    • Carlisle pulled themselves out of the drop zone with a win at Leyton Orient on Paul Simpson's return to the dugout.
    • Oldham remain in the bottom two after Carlisle found a second-half leveller.

    • Rotherham extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points thanks to a win at Plymouth as second-placed Wigan lost 3-0 at home to Sunderland.
    • Portsmouth come back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3, with Aiden O'Brien levelling the match in added time.
    • Accrington won 3-2 despite being 2-1 down to Wycombe, who slip out of the play-off places.
    • Three points for MK Dons, Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford consolidated their battles for play-off spots, with the latter coming back from 2-1 down to win 4-2 with the help of Cameron Brannagan's brace.
    • Crewe stay bottom but managed a heroic victory at Cheltenham, with similar fight shown by Doncaster, who scored two in quick succession to draw 2-2 at Wimbledon.
