  1. Adios and au revoir...published at 22:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

And that's your lot for tonight folks.

Real Madrid get the job done, Paris St-Germain not so much.

I'm sure there will be reaction to that humbling defeat.

We will be back with a tonne of football tomorrow.

My suggestion is you tune into Match of the Day shortly on BBC One so you can keep this party flowing.

    Goodnight one and all!

  2. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

I doubt we have a title race but the guys and gals in Nantes will at least have a cracking night tonight.

Paris St-Germain pay for missing chances and for generally being charitable at the back in the first 45 minutes.

Nantes - and especially goalkeeper Alban Lafont - the night is yours.

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:51 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

It's a victory for Real Madrid, but they laboured to the three points and move seven points clear at the top of La Liga.

  4. Postpublished at 21:49 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

Nantes in a beautiful 5-4-1 shape now as PSG knock it about on halfway. Julian Draxler collects the ball on the edge of the box and fires low... the man Alban Lafont is down to palm away again.

I love this keeper. He's been mustard tonight.

Rodrygo is caught by Florian Leujene and the referee points to the penalty spot in the final minute.

  7. Postpublished at 21:45 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

Nantes have taken the sting out of things admirably and suddenly they are carrying a little more threat. Ludivoc Blas heads over. It was a touch too high for him to get his head over it.

We have 10 minutes my friends. PSG on their way to a first league loss since October and just a second of the campaign.

  8. What a miss!published at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

That could be the key moment.

Julian Draxler tries to pull a ball down in the box and it ricochets into the path of Kylian Mbappe, seven yards out, middle of the goal.

He lobs it over the bar. Three points for Toulon.

    An awful miss.

  9. goal

GOAL - Real Madrid 2-0 Alavespublished at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Vinicius Jr (79 mins)

    All over you would feel.

Beautiful football from Real Madrid to carve open Alaves, their best move of the game.

Karim Benzema plays a one-two with Marco Asensio before laying the ball on a plate for Vinicius Jr to gobble up from close range.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Real Madrid 1-0 Alaves

The points are nearly sealed as Karim Benzema exchanges passes with Vinicius Jr but scuffs a shot against the post.

  11. CLOSE!published at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Real Madrid 1-0 Alaves

Nice move from Real and Dani Carvajal runs onto a loose ball but shoots straight at Fernando Pacheco.

  12. Tuning in?published at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

Just joining us in France my friends?

Goals from Randal Kolo Muani, Quentin Merlin and a Ludovic Blas penalty put Nantes 3-0 up at the break.

Their keeper Alban Lafont has been inspired. I'd give him man of the match this week and next.

Neymar has pulled one back for PSG but has then missed a penalty.

PSG are 13 points clear at the top and have lost just once this season. So it's a turn up for the books but will likely mean very little when all is said and done.

You're up to date... now go make yourself a Saturday night treat.

My pal Shamoon is calling the Real Madrid game. Over to him for some added drama...

  13. Postpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Real Madrid 1-0 Alaves

Awful from Vinicius Jr, cutting on to his right and smacking a cameraman on the head situated close to the corner flag.

  14. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

I'm not sure how Dennis Appiah didn't get a second yellow for that foul on Kylian Mbappe for the penalty. He's still out there though and life remains pleasant for Nantes and their followers.

  15. CLOSE!published at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Real Madrid 1-0 Alaves

It should be two as Karim Benzema latches on to a through ball but striking his shot into the side-netting.

  16. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

    An abysmal penalty from Neymar.

The keeper could have read the Sunday papers and all the pull outs and still had time to throw his hat on that trickling effort.

Neymar has hit better penalties in his nightmares.

  17. PENALTY TO PSGpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

Kylian Mbappe is too rapid. He's chopped down by Dennis Appiah - who will be lucky to stay on - and that's a penalty.

VAR will not be overturning this one I tell you.

  18. goal

GOAL - Real Madrid 1-0 Alavespublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Marco Asensio (63 mins)

    What a hit!

Alaves miss that opportunity and are made to pay big style.

It is a trademark Marco Asensio strike, taking a touch outside the area and curling a stunning shot into the top corner.

Spectacular goal to break the deadlock and it needed something special.

  19. WHAT A MISS!published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Real Madrid 0-0 Alaves

Alaves could have silenced the Bernabeu.

Sub Pere Pons has only been on a minute or two and nips in following Marco Asensio's backpass.

He goes round Thibaut Courtois but shoots wide from six yards out with an open goal to aim at.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2022

    Nantes 3-1 PSG

The threat remains. Neymar feeds Kylian Mbappe and his stride opens out... inside right channel... into the area... crisp hit... saved by the star keeper again.

    Alban Lafont a keeper extraordinaire!
