  1. Old Firm derby up nextpublished at 22:38 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2022

That's all from us tonight, but we'll be back with the top-of-the-table clash between leaders Rangers and hosts Celtic tomorrow evening.

Both teams are 13 games without defeat, but Celtic have narrowed the gap to two points and can go top for the first time since August with a win.

However, Rangers will be buoyed by the eye-catching signing of Aaron Ramsey, even though the Wales midfielder will not be involved at Celtic Park tomorrow.

Join us then for another big night in Scottish football.

  2. 'We didn't deserve to win' - Goodwinpublished at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2022

    FT: St Mirren 1-1 Motherwell

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "It feels like a defeat because we conceded so late on. But, to be honest, had we taken all three points, it would have been daylight robbery.

"Both teams were poor, there wasn't a great deal of football being played. We did try on occasion, but we were far too sloppy in possession. Didn't handle the pressure that Motherwell put us under early on and just had very cheap turnovers.

"It's disappointing when you look at the table and what those extra two points could have done. We would be right on the coattails of Dundee United and Aberdeen."

  4. We should have two spot kicks - Neilsonpublished at 22:28 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2022

FT: Hibernian 0-0 Heart of Midlothian

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson tells BBC Scotland that he thinks his side should have had two penalty kicks against Hibs.

"i think the first one is a stonewaller," he says. "The second one I can understand a wee bit as the referee says he thought his arm was by his side as the ball struck it. I differ in that opinion.

"Either side could have won it, but I am disappointed we have not taken three points."

He also reveals that Leigh Griffiths was in the stands to watch the 0-0 draw and that the Dens Park club are still in talks with the striker.

The 31-year-old has been released by Celtic having been on loan to Dundee for the first half of the season.

    FT: Dundee 0-0 Dundee United

Dundee United head coach Tam Courts tells BBC Sportsound: "It wasn't a great game, I'm not going to lie.

"It was tight and hard fought. We feel a bit frustrated with our performance and missed chances. We just couldn't get any real rhythm.

"I'm disappointed we couldn't get three points and the performance to match. I was looking for a bit more quality. All too often tonight, we chose the wrong decision."

    FT: St Mirren 1-1 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Graham Alexander revealed that Liam Shaw had to be taken off after complaining of blurred vision, with an unknown cause behind it.

The 20-year-old on-loan Celtic midfielder had to go off in the 40th minute.

"He was hurried off the pitch," Alexander tells BBC Scotland. "He feels okay now, we don't know what brought it on. I don't think there was a head knock or anything like that.

"He's in the dressing room now, he seems fine and we'll just see how he is over the next day or two."

"The players are really frustrated that we dropped two points because by far we were the better team."

"I have been waiting for this moment my entire life," the 23-year-old says after a man-of-the-math performance in the 0-0 draw with Hearts.

"I came to Hibs when I was a wee boy and it took me five years to be ready for that moment.

"The club to me is like a second home. I came here as a boy and they made me a man."

"It's a relief to get the win and we've got to keep this going. It was massive. I'm delighted for the players as they've had a tough time, but it is just a win."

  17. FULL-TIME St Mirren 1-1 Motherwellpublished at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2022

Just when St Mirren thought they had secured a fourth straight win, Motherwell produced a late equaliser.

Ross Tierney's last-gasp equaliser salvaged a Premiership point for Motherwell after the hosts thought they had earned a fourth win in a row.

Hibernian loanee Alex Gogic's late header on his debut looked to have won it.

But, in time added-on, Richard Tait was caught in possession and Tierney found the net for Graham Alexander's side to spark wild celebrations.
