It's not just the fans who will be looking forward to Liverpool on 20 March. Steve Cooper is a former Liverpool Academy coach.

Forest were bottom of the Championship when they appointed him in September.

Now they are three points off the play-offs and into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper, speaking to ITV4: "I though it was a great cup tie and I thought we had an excellent first half. We showed a great reaction [after going behind].

"The second half was a proper cup tie. We should have scored a couple more."

On Ryan Yates: "He is excellent to be fair. He is first out to training and loves Nottingham Forest. He is a a diamond to be honest."

On facing Liverpool in the quarter-finals: "We have had three really tough games to get here. We'll talk about Liverpool when it comes round."

Nottingham Forest's Ryan Yates speaking to ITV4: "It's great - as long as we're winning I'm happy. Buzzing to keep contributing and help us win games, that's the main thing."

On playing Liverpool in quarter-final: "It's got to be the biggest game I will play in - we've got to focus on the league we've got a huge game to win there so have to focus on that.

"It's fantastic - since I've been here this is the best connection we've had from the fans and players and we have to keep selling out every game and keep putting the performances.

"The noise [in the City Ground] is up there with the other two FA Cup games.

"We've got to recover and focus ready for the weekend, now."

That's Nottingham Forest's main aim - they'll have eyes on the weekend but what can this season end on, a quarter-final against Liverpool and the chance to go for the top six. Let's remember that before Steve Cooper got the job they were right at the bottom of the table.

It's been a great turnaround and this football club has been in the darkness for such a long time, it's wonderful to see the stadium rocking again.

So, Huddersfield's unbeaten 18-match run finally comes to an end. They might be out of the FA Cup but their season is still very much alive. They're second in the Championship table and automatic promotion is very much on their radar.

Forest fans are not in a hurry to leave the City Ground and Ryan Yates is struggling to make himself heard above the noise as he is interviewed by TV.

He tells ITV4: "It was such an intense game. Once we went 2-1 up I thought its not going to stay 2-1. [Liverpool] is probably going to be the biggest game I've played in."

Forest will definitely give Liverpool a game - this stadium is absolutely bouncing. It was a great performance, they had the opportunity to get another goal but they've managed to see it out.

It was a determined, dogged performance and they had opportunities, they should've gone further in front.

Ultimately it was all about Forest - they certainly deserved it on the night.

Special scenes at the City Ground. Scarves are being waved in the air, the noise is off the scale. Steve Cooper has created something very special. Forest feel like a club on its way up.

Forest's dream FA Cup run goes on and on. It's Liverpool next.

The volume inside the City Ground has gone up another notch. Forest fans think their side have done enough.

It should be 4-1 but Huddersfield are still in this. A huge cheer as the visitors lose possession and Forest have a throw-in which they are in no rush to take.

You just feel that Huddersfield might get one more opportunity late on in this game.

How did he miss?

Kienan Davis has made a big impression since coming on and Forest are on the attack but James Garner takes his eye off the ball and puts an easy chance over. Huddersfield are still alive.

It's Forest who are now enjoying a decent spell of pressure. Huddersfield are running out of time.
