  1. 'As long as we have a bus, we will be there'published at 21:49 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2022

    FT: Norwich 1-3 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "Let's see if it stays like this. If it does, I don't know. We take it day by day. I didn't see that coming yesterday and I don't know what is coming tomorrow.

"Everybody can be very sure that we focus on us, to keep the attitude and the mentality right on the training ground and within the team.

"So far we can trust each other and this will not change. As long as we have enough shirts and a bus to drive to the games we will be there and will compete hard."

  2. 'Contrast between two halves'published at 21:47 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2022

    FT: Norwich 1-3 Chelsea

    Norwich City

Norwich manager Dean Smith to PLP: "There's such a contrast between the two halves which disappoints me. It doesn't help when you give a goal from a corner away after three minutes. It was a poor goal and they won three or four first contacts from set-pieces in the first half. In the second half I thought we were excellent. It is tough. We had it the other week with Liverpool.

"We have to take each game as it comes try to take each point from it. We're aware it's difficult for us. We have to go all out and get points in every game. I'd have liked to have seen a performance like the one we had in the second half in the first half."

  3. 'I would be lying if I hadn't had doubts'published at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2022

    FT: Norwich 1-2 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, speaking to BBC MOTD: "The first half was brilliant, no. You have to 2-0 lead, It feels like a 3-0 or 4-0 lead. Then you give a penalty away and concede and things get complicated. It's life. I'm happy with the result."

On if he had any doubts about his team after today's off-field events: "It would be a lie if I said we I had no doubts but I also had a lot of trust. In difficult circumstances we produced a lot of results and good performances so we can trust in our mentality and the culture in the club. We allowed ourselves to focus on the football."

    FT: Leeds 0-3 Aston Villa

Aston Villa are looking good for a finish in the top half of the Premier League for the first time in 11 years.

"We have to keep going well," says Matty Cash.

"The size of the club is ready to go to the next level and hopefully I can be a part of that."

  5. 'There's a lot going on'published at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2022

    FT: Norwich 1-3 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea's Mason Mount to PLP: "It's nice when it comes in the first half because you can relax a little bit. It was very similar to the goal I scored here a few years ago. We talked about the cut-backs that would be available. Luckily I hit the target and scored. I rushed the volley which I should have scored!

"There's a lot going on. Us as professionals we have to focus on our game. We have to let that try and speak and we did that today.

"We had that dip through December-January time and we asked ourselves how we let that happen. We wanted to get back to playing the football we know we can and hopefully we're now on the right path."

    Leeds 0-3 Aston Villa

All over as Aston Villa cruise to a third win in a row.

For Leeds, it is another defeat and one that deepens concerns about relegation. They are just two points above the drop but Burnley, in the final relegation spot, have two games in hand.

That's as poor as I've seen Leeds play in a long time. Worrying times for the West Yorkshire side.

  7. 'We cannot influence it'published at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2022

    FT: Norwich 1-3 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to Sky Sports: "The result was excellent. It's never easy to win an away game. We played a very good first half. We played in the second half with a bit of feeling maybe we had a higher lead. Suddenly the energy is back in the stadium and the opponent has nothing to lose but we dug in and managed to win which was important to us.

"It's a bit awkward as we played weeks and weeks with no games in the Premier League. It's neccesary. We are in the race and want the best possible outcome. There is some noise around the club so big credit to the guys for their character."

On the situation at Chelsea and having to answer questions: "All the time of course. It is big news. It is huge and has a huge impact of course so it is the subject of the talks. Maybe on a day like this you would talk about the Champions League games last night but nobody talks about this. So it nice to enter a schedule before a match as it helps to focus as we're used to it. We cannot influence it so we allowed ourselves to enjoy it. We have the privilege to play and sometimes it's good to sweat it out. We tried to work hard to get the focus out.

"I would love to talk about sport but of course I understand you have a lot of questions. We are also an entertainment so that's why it is like this."

It is genuinely hard to work out who is funnier this season, Leeds or Everton. Either way, thanks massively to both for being themselves, from an increasingly relieved Brentford fan.

We have seen a real good effort from Norwich to come back into it but ultimately you have to finish your chances.

For me though, under adversity, how Chelsea started the game - they were excellent.
