  1. Goodnight!

    england

So it was the team in orange playing Total Football, but that was Dutch coach Sarina Wiegman's England, not Englishman Mark Parsons' Netherlands tonight... still with us?

What a clinical display from the Lionesses against the defending European champions as their preparation for the Euros continues with a confidence-boosting 5-1 thumping of the visitors at Elland Road.

You can read all about that here in Emma Sanders' report from Leeds. And we'll be back with you for England's final warm-up game against Switzerland on Thursday.

    Until then...

How about that for a cameo... will Beth Mead be a starter come the first game of the Euros?

  4. 'We are in a good place'

    FT: England 5-1 Netherlands

    England

Here is England boss Sarina Wiegman, speaking to ITV4: "It was a very good game on the highest level, it is very nice to score five goals but actually we went behind for the first time and it's how we reacted on that - we needed to come back from not playing well and get the game to a high standard, so that was good.

"It shows this team has a lot of depth and so much quality, we have so much opportunity to change the game and have more impact. We can keep up the tempo while the Netherlands dropped their tempo a little bit.

"For us, it is just that we say when we lose we go with our plan and when we win we go with our plan - we don't think we are there because some things didn't go well and we have to improve that too, so we will start working on that on Monday.

"I am absolutely happy, such a high level game and of course the score says a lot, that is really good, the second half was really good. We are in a good place and still some things to improve."

  5. 'These games are for learning'

    FT: England 5-1 Netherlands

    England

England's Beth Mead, speaking to ITV4: "I am enjoying my football right now, that is showing on the pitch - just glad I can help the team today. We didn't play great the first half, we were sleepy, sloppy on the ball. We reacted really well to the penalty.

"It is tougher opposition, Netherlands haven't won a Euros and got to a World Cup final for no reason, so it shows the quality. These games are for learning but winning and playing well is the confidence we need heading into the Euros."

This is a rout. It isn't just scoring five goals. They've tortured the Dutch. This might be hard to get over physiologically. If they meet England again this summer, they won't be able to forget this.

  7. FULL-TIME

    England 5-1 Netherlands

    That's it.

England tear the Netherlands apart with a superb second-half showing at Elland Road.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORK

    England 5-1 Netherlands

    Almost six!

Ella Toone wriggles away from several defenders and slips a pass into Alessia Russo's path - she takes it well but lashes an effort against the bar.

  9. Post update

    England 5-1 Netherlands

    Natasha Dowie

Reading and England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Brilliant play. The composure by Mead to dink it past the defender and find the corner. What an impact.

  10. GOAL - England 5-1 Netherlands

    Beth Mead (89 mins)

    It is five!

England open up the Netherlands defence again and have a couple of chances to convert, before the ball drops to Beth Mead and she shows great composure.

The substitute leaves a defender on the ground with a neat dummy and then fires into the bottom corner for her second of the evening.

  11. Post update

    England 4-1 Netherlands

All England in the closing stages, the Dutch look out on their feet. I think they'll be happy move on without conceding another.

  12. Post update

    England 4-1 Netherlands

    Natasha Dowie

Reading and England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

England look fresh. They don't look like they've had a long season. In fact, the Netherlands look leggy. Obviously, winning 4-1 lifts you and losing 4-1 drops you.

  13. Post update

    England 4-1 Netherlands

More than 19,000 at Elland Road tonight, and those following England have very much enjoyed it.

  14. SUBSTITUTION

    England 4-1 Netherlands

Lauren Hemp heads off after a superb display, with Nikita Parris coming on.

  15. Post update

    England 4-1 Netherlands

To think the Netherlands could have been 2-1 up moments before England's second...

This is a hammering. England are all over the Dutch. They are falling apart.

The physicality, the strength and the willingness of the England team; they don't know how to deal with it.

World class finish; the technique by Lauren Hemp. There is nothing the goalkeeper could do about that.

  18. GOAL - England 4-1 Netherlands

    Lauren Hemp

    England are on fire!

Lucy Bronze bursts down the right, pulls the ball back and Ella Toone strikes the post.

But then how about this for a finish from Lauren Hemp - wonderful technique, watching the ball drop on to her left boot and looping a volley into the far, top corner. Sublime.

    She's been superb tonight.

    Lauren Hemp scores
  19. Post update

    England 3-1 Netherlands

    Natasha Dowie

Reading and England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Let's be honest, that is a massive error by the keeper. She should be saving that all day. She took her eye off the ball.

Positive play by Toone, great footwork. Massive error.
