  1. GOAL - Republic of Ireland 2-2 Belgium

    Alan Browne (85 mins)

    They've done it!

Just when it looked like this game was slipping away, the hosts pop up with another leveller.

Matt Doherty drives into the Belgium half and knocks it wide for Chiedozie Ogbene, who does superbly to dig out a cross and a flying Alan Browne arrives in the box to powerfully head it beyond Simon Mignolet. Great goal!

  2. SUBSTITUTION

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

All these changes don't help with the flow of the game, mind.

Chiedozie Ogbene climbs highest to reach a cross but can only nod it up into the air and Simon Mignolet is out to gather.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONS

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

    Changes all round.

Jason Knight and Jeff Hendrick come off for the hosts, with Will Keane and Alan Browne on.

For Belgium, Orel Mangala and Adnan Januzaj are on in place of Arthur Theate and Charles De Ketelaere.

  8. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

Thomas Foket curls one a long way wide from Michy Batshuayi's set back. That could well be Belgium's first effort since taking the lead.

  9. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

Into the final 20 minutes then. Can Stephen Kenny's side find pull themselves back into this once more?

Seamus Coleman is flattened by Thorgan Hazard as he delays a pass slightly, it's Ireland enjoying most of the play out there.

  10. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

Neat football from Ireland to work some space on the edge of the box but Jeff Hendrick drags his effort harmlessly wide.

  11. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

Another chance to break for the hosts after Jason Knight wins the ball in midfield but James McClean's optimistic strike fails to beat the first defender.

  12. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

Ireland are forcing Belgium into a few mistakes at the back, pressing high and with intent. It's been difficult for the visitors to get out of their own half, with the goal coming from a rare forway into the hosts' territory.

  13. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

Callum Robinson brings a roar from the Aviva, wriggling away from two defenders with a smart turn and firing on target from outside the box. Simon Mignolet palms it away and Belgium scramble clear.

  14. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

Both Belgium's goals have come out of the blue, really. The hosts will feel a little hard done by with that second one.

  15. GOAL - Republic of Ireland 1-2 Belgium

    Hans Vanaken (58 mins)

    And Belgium lead once more!

It's Hans Vanaken who helps the corner goalwards and somehow the ball finds its way into the net at the front post.

It may well go down as an own goal from Seamus Coleman.

  16. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-1 Belgium

Oooh. Michy Batshuayi has been the visitors' biggest threat and he shifts the ball on to his left this time, fizzing an effort narrowly wide from the edge of the box via a deflection.

  17. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-1 Belgium

Roberto Martinez heads over for a word with Thierry Henry. Another Belgium change on the way? The former Everton boss is probably wondering how his side can get a foot in this game again.

  18. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-1 Belgium

So the hosts have started the second brightly, just like they finished the first. They're still rueing that glorious chance though...

  19. Post update

    Republic of Ireland 1-1 Belgium

Ireland are really pressing now. Jeff Hendrick picks out Jason Knight and he cuts in from the left before seeing his effort blocked behind for a corner.

  20. CLOSE!

    Republic of Ireland 1-1 Belgium

How have the Republic not taken the lead?!

Belgium give it away in a dangerous area to Seamus Coleman, who shifts it to Jason Knight and he tries to cut it back for Callum Robinson.

The forward looks set to turn the ball into an empty net but sees it pinched off his toes and James McClean's follow up is also cleared off the line.
