  2. 'I feel really proud'published at 14:34 British Summer Time 16 April 2022

FT: West Ham 1-4 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor, speaking to BBC Sport: "I feel really proud of this team. We’ve had a lack of preparation time off the back of the international break. Compared to our performance previously I thought some of our play was really good. We had some scary moments at times but we deserve our place in the final.

"We’ve got so many options. We always know with the way we play that there’s going to be someone free. Today, a lot of it was Keira Walsh. She controlled the game with and without the ball really, really well.

"We took out our two goalscorers from our last game in Georgia Stanway and Khadija Shaw. I spoke to Shaw this morning and I just felt she wasn’t quite recovered. We’ve got good options and when you win the game like that, the coach is obviously a genius. But you also know what it’s like when it doesn’t go well.

"The players have got to earn it. We’ve got good games coming up. We just stick to our motto, which is follow the process. Whenever we’ve been successful, we’ve got the details right. When we don’t do that we might suffer slightly, but there’s real belief. It’s great to look forward to a Wembley final."

On Chloe Kelly's display: "You never expect that type of performance. We knew she wasn’t going to be able to play 90 minutes but she scored the goal, which was great."

  3. 'This doesn't define our season'published at 14:32 British Summer Time 16 April 2022

FT: West Ham 1-4 Man City

    West Ham United

West Ham boss Oli Harder, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was just little details here and there. Some nice goals for them and similar to last time we played them, we applied ourselves really well, but the little details weren't there.

"No positives or negatives to take from the game. Congrats to City on their win.

"This doesn't define our season, it's been a really positive season for West Ham.

"We have three league games to go. We have three chances to be awesome. Let's see how high we can finish up the league.

"We saw today some moments of quality. Fantastic ruthless finishing from them and mistakes from us.

"The gap between the top teams is closing. I don't think the scoreline reflected the game."

Man City were stubborn and they got through tough periods.

I think West Ham had a few moments in the second half, but apart from that Manchester City controlled things. They just picked them off eventually.

    Manchester City

Manchester City forward Chloe Kelly, speaking to BBC Sport: "It’s brilliant to be back out there with the girls. To get the goal was even better. The team were brilliant today and throughout my injury they’ve been brilliant. It’s great to repay the faith from the manager.

"The time I spent away was a difficult period. It’s so lonely in the gym, but to get a goal within the first few minutes was brilliant for me. I’m loving every minute of it.

"The best is yet to come from us. After Christmas we showed our quality and we stuck together. We’ll keep pushing until the end of the season. Now we have an FA Cup final at Wembley where we can show our talent."

On returning to the England squad in time for Euro 2022: "I’m focusing on each game. I’d love to be at the Euros and I’d love to keep pushing and working hard each day. It wasn't their best performance, but City showed the quality they had over West Ham.

West Ham made mistakes for the first three goals. West Ham's keeper didn't have too many saves to make.
