Former Birmingham City manager on BBC One

It’s another really good break from West Ham. You can see the amount of bodies they get forward quickly.

Dagny Brynjarsdottir just tries to turn the ball back across from a really tight angle. It’s a good save, but there are signs that West Ham can hurt Man City.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 14 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

First proper save as West Ham's Dagný Brynjarsdóttir goes through on the angle after Alex Greenwood gives the ball away.

Roebuck is quick off her line though and blocks the early shot with her legs.

West Ham are pressing high now and intensely. City are struggling to keep the ball. Tameka Yallop almost found Lisa Evans with that chipped ball. The home fans near us are liking what they're seeing.

    Ice cool!

City keeper Ellie Roebuck does a no-look pass on her own goal line surrounded by West Ham shirts!

Anything Ederson can do, Roebuck can do better.

I agree with Kirsty and Emma. that Chloe Kelly cross for Ellen White is the game's best chance so far.

You’d have put your money on Ellen White putting that kind of opportunity away. It looked pretty clear-cut for her to get a better connection on the cross, but she didn’t.

Opening for West Ham as Tameka Yallop chips in a cross to Lisa Evans but City keeper Ellie Roebuck is swift off her line and catches the pass.

The Hammers fan are urging their team on with plenty of noise and passion.

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

It's all City now as Keira Walsh sends through Ellen White, but England's record goalscorer hits her shot well over on the angle.

It was good defending from Gill Flaherty, who put White off but in doing so fell awkwardly. She's now receiving some treatment.

It's been a decent start. West Ham are winning individual battles in midfield but City are so technically good so they have been able to carve out a bit of space. Chloe Kelly's cross then was a dangerous one.

Oh so nearly for Man City as Chloe Kelly chips in a delightful cross, but Ellen White can't quite meet the cross with a diving header.

    If there was contact...

Better from City who have a spell of possession and slow the game down.

Caroline Weir tries to send Chloe Kelly through with a ball over the top but it's headed clear.

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

Man City keeper Ellie Roebuck comes out to claim the most recent West Ham cross. City have hardly touched the ball.

I wasn't expecting West Ham to be this dominant.

City defend the set-piece well with striker Ellen White hacking it clear.

The Hammers are having the better of the opening exchanges.

  15. 'Svitkova key for West Ham'published at 12:18 British Summer Time 16 April 2022

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

    Scott Booth
Former Birmingham City manager on BBC One

Katerina Svitkova will definitely give West Ham something a little bit extra. She’s really athletic, carries the ball well and obviously helps with goals.

She’s going to be key for them today.

  20. 'Kelly back is a big uplift'published at 12:13 British Summer Time 16 April 2022

West Ham v Man City (12:15 BST)

    Kirsty Ditchfield
Former Doncaster Belles player on BBC Radio Manchester

She’s a player of such high quality, she’s able to go up and down the wing. She was involved in 21 goals last season. I think she’s been a big miss.

The good thing for Gareth Taylor is that he has got options, but to have Chloe Kelly back in the team has got to give everyone a big uplift.
