Runaway leaders against a team in mid-table. A home banker? Not in the Championship.

Thanks for your company this afternoon and hopefully you will join us again tomorrow night for another belter as it's fourth v fifth with Huddersfield at home to Luton.

    See you then!

  2. Still in the hunt (just)published at 17:02 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Fulham 1-3 Coventry

Coventry are back in the top half - 12th - and are now six points off the final play-off spot with five games to go.

It remains a very tall order. But play like they did today and they could win all five matches, which they will probably need to do.

  3. What this meanspublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Fulham 1-3 Coventry

Fulham stay 10 points ahead of Bournemouth in second. But they still need two more wins to guarantee promotion.

However, if Nottingham Forest lose at Luton on Good Friday lunchtime, a win at Derby that evening would secure promotion.

I guess this is a stumbling block, rather than the start of a full-blown wobble.

    Fulham 1-3 Coventry

Coventry become the first team to do the double over Fulham this season, with an impressive 7-2 aggregate scoreline.

Mark Robins' men deserve all the credit for a fearless approach. They caught Fulham cold and the leaders had too much to do by the time they came into the game.

All over. A shock result for Fulham. An outstanding performance from Coventry.

    Game over!

The points are heading up the M1 and deservedly so. They break away and Gustavo Hamer picks out Callum O'Hare who finishes it off.

    Fulham 1-2 Coventry

Tense times for Coventry as they try to protect their advantage.

A looping header from Aleksandar Mitrovic goes over the top and the Sky Blues can breathe again.

  8. INJURY TIMEpublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Fulham 1-2 Coventry

Suddenly Coventry are now forced to do a lot of defending as Fulham search for an equaliser.

We are now entering four minutes of injury time.

    Chance for Aleksandar Mitrovic!

But his header is over from Antonee Robinson's cross. Not just yet for goal number 39.

  10. CLOSE!published at 16:45 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Fulham 1-2 Coventry

    Almost an equaliser for Fulham!

The third sub, Rodrigo Muniz, nearly delivers it but his deflected shot is brilliantly kept out by Simon Moore.

    Hello, comeback alert!

Bobby Decordova-Reid guides one into the far corner after Josh Onomah's cutback, having started the move. Two of Fulham's three subs make a big contribution.

A seventh of the season for the forward.

    Fulham 0-2 Coventry

Coventry still have Bournemouth to play at home, so they could have a big say in the promotion race, as well as their own play-off hopes.

Fulham will still need two wins to do the job themselves. It's Derby away and Preston at home over Easter for them.

Harry Wilson gets booked for a cynical foul, showing Fulham's frustration.

    Fulham 0-2 Coventry

I may be going early here but Coventry seem to have weathered that storm from Fulham.

Williams going down injured has also punctured some of the Cottagers' momentum, too.

Last two changes for Fulham, as Marco Silva rolls the dice.

Neeskens Kebano and Neco Williams are off. Rodrigo Muniz and Josh Onomah come on. Williams had been down for treatment.

    Fulham 0-2 Coventry

Fulham may start to think it is going to be one of those days if they cannot convert one of these chances.

But they survive another scare at the other end. A fine move from the visitors ends with Ian Maatsen's shot being deflected behind for a corner from a tight angle.

Harry Wilson in actionImage source, Getty Images

Harry Wilson takes aim from a free-kick and leaves Simon Moore rooted to the spot.

The only problem is that his effort is inches over the bar.

Then his Welsh international team-mate Neco Williams brings a fine save out of Moore with a drilled long-range shot, which the goalkeeper pushes behind for a corner.

  17. CLOSE!published at 16:21 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Fulham 0-2 Coventry

Two chances for Fulham to halve the deficit in the space of a minute.

First, Fabio Carvalho sees his header from Harry Wilson's cross drift just wide and then Neco Williams' shot is pushed away by Simon Moore.

Gustavo Hamer - a player who impresses me every time I see him - gets in and forces Marek Rodak into a save at his near post. No sign of sitting back from the visitors.

  19. Can we play you every week?published at 16:17 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Fulham 0-2 Coventry

The Sky Blues really do play with no fear. Mark Robins knows he does not have the budget to compete financially with most in the Championship, but they give everyone a game.

Unlike most in this league too, they enjoy playing Fulham!

  20. Super Swedepublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Fulham 0-2 Coventry

The goal in the first half was Viktor Gyokeres' 16th of the season and the Swede has carried such a threat today.

He didn't score between 2 October and 25 January though, and that drought coincided with Coventry's form tailing off somewhat.
