That's as far as we go in here tonight.

Huddersfield Town end the day up in third thanks to their 2-0 win over play-off rivals Luton in West Yorkshire.

Jon Russell and Naby Sarr bagged for the Terriers either side of Elijah Adebayo sending a penalty wide for the Hatters.

The Terriers welcome QPR on Good Friday, a team who have lost seven of their past eight games.

Luton get us going with our EFL coverage on Friday with a massive clash against fourth-placed Nottingham Forest.

Hope you can join us then and thanks for your company tonight.

    Cheers!

What a win that is for Huddersfield Town and they are now SIX points clear of seventh.

Luton now host Nottingham Forest on Good Friday in a game they really need to get something from.

    Matthew Glennon
    Former Huddersfield Town goalkeeper

    Huge, huge.

There was a little slice of luck in there but who cares? You're going to need that at some point in the season,

Another clean sheet and the goal from Russell? Superb.

Naby Sarr has shown a great attitude this season and he wraps it up.

This is a big night in Huddersfield's season.

    MASSIVE win for Huddersfield Town.

This one really came to life after the break.

Jon Russell lifted home a beauty before Elijah Adebayo missed a great chance to level when he sent his penalty kick wide.

Naby Sarr made the points safe late on and the Terriers are back up to third in the table.

    Huddersfield 2-0 Luton

It's not going to be Luton's day today and next up? Nottingham Forest at home.

Not what you need when you've just lost to another play-off rival.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90+3 mins

    Huddersfield 2-0 Luton

    Last Huddersfield change.

Sorba Thomas' race is run and Jordan Rhodes is on for the final knockings.

  7. Postpublished at 90+3 mins

    Huddersfield 2-0 Luton

    Urgh.

Luton fashion an opening with Huddersfield incredibly deep but Amari'i Bell ignores his team-mates and lashes a wild shot into the stands.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 90+1 mins

    Huddersfield 2-0 Luton

Huddersfield full-back Harry Toffolo is booked for a foul on the halfway line.

  9. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Huddersfield 2-0 Luton

We're into seven minutes of time added on now but it's an absolute mile back for Luton as Sorba Thomas smacks a low shot at goal that James Shea saves in the Hatters goal.

Should have played it square for Duane Holmes really.

  10. goal

GOAL: Huddersfield 2-0 Lutonpublished at 21:33 British Summer Time 11 April 2022

    Naby Sarr (89 mins)

    That'll be that.

Sorba Thomas whips a corner to the back stick and Naby Sarr is all on his lonesome to stoop to head home.

Three big points staying in West Yorkshire.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 86 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

One of Naby Sarr's first acts is to head the ball away as Huddersfield goalkeeper Lee Nicholls came off his line to claim it.

A corner comes out to Amari'i Bell and he sends a shot fizzing past the post.

Nicholls is then booked for time-wasting.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 83 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

Huddersfield respond to Luton bringing on Danny Hylton up top and bring on defender Naby Sarr for striker Danny Ward.

  13. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

Sorba Thomas gets in down the left and looks to score from a VERY acute angle.

Doesn't wrap his foot around it enough though.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 81 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

    Last Luton change.

Harry Cornick is off and Danny Hylton is on.

That'll be two through the middle for the away side now.

  15. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

Elijah Adebayo, no doubt stung by his penalty miss, does well to keep the ball before setting it back for Robert Snodgrass on the edge of the area.

His finish would have looked more in place in a Huddersfield Giants match. Over.

How crucial could that Jon Russell goal for Huddersfield prove to be in four weeks' time when the regular season comes to an end?

Luton going a bit more direct now but no joy so far.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 77 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

    First change for Huddersfield.

Danel Sinani is off and Duane Holmes is on.

That's like for like pretty much.

  18. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

Luton are pushing forwards and the game has got a real edge to it as we enter the final 15 minutes.

It took a while to get going but we've got a real battle now.

Huddersfield goalkeeper Lee Nicholls gathers a corner at the second attempt.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 70 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

    It's all going off now!

Kai Naimsith and Fred Onyedinma are both booked for the Hatters after a right old melee after the penalty.

Sorba Thomas is also booked for Town.

Naismith literally shoved Lewis O'Brien to the ground so... Not really sure how he's not off for that.

  20. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 69 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 Luton

Elijah Adebayo sends his spot-kick wide for the away side!

It looked a soft award to me to be honest so maybe some justice done.
