Middlesbrough 0-0 Cardiff City
Jonny Howson's floated corner comes to nothing.
Much like the attacks from both sides so far. Decent approach play but little in the way of quality in the attacking third.

It was a pure chance! Hugill just took it off Watters' foot.
Cardiff are finding space now and are looking much more threatening.

Good work from Rubin Colwill on Cardiff's right as he gets to the byline and pulls the ball back.
It looks to be falling nicely for Max Watters but Jordan Hugill gets there before him and gets in a tangle to allow Boro's covering defenders to steal possession.

That is right in the fabled 'corridor of uncertainty' from Isaiah Jones on Boro's right.
His inviting cross evades everyone and goes out for a goal kick.

Watmore is a lively player. I remember seeing him score a great goal against Swansea here a while ago.
You never forget your trips to Middlesbrough!

Middlesbrough 0-0 Cardiff City
Boro lose possession in the Cardiff half, and Tommy Doyle carries the ball forward for the visitors.
Max Watters then sees a cross blocked for a corner, which is taken short.
Doyle crosses but it's too long and Anfernee Dijksteel pinches possession back for Boro.
All a bit scrappy so far.

Cardiff look a bit lost. They're keeping possession but it's all very negative.

Cody Drameh has been a real success. He looks too good to stay at Cardiff next season, if we're being honest.
Middlesbrough 0-0 Cardiff City
Marc Bola looks to dart into the Cardiff box on Boro's left but Cody Drameh puts the ball out for a corner.

It just hasn't settled down for Cardiff yet, but this is what it's like playing away from home.
Middlesbrough have started quickly so they've just got to weather the storm.

This is a vital game for Middlesbrough, who are five points off the play-offs and this is the game they have in hand.
It's a huge opportunity.

Middlesbrough v Cardiff City (19:45 BST)
While Middlesbrough's focus remains very much on this season, Cardiff City have for some time been glancing towards 2022-23.
It has been a long campaign for the Bluebirds, who began with considerable optimism under Mick McCarthy and then feared a prolonged relegation battle for a while.
Steve Morison has guided Cardiff clear of the bottom three with something to spare, but better will be expected next term.
Morison has been discussing transfer plans this week, with a big turnover of players on the cards this summer given that 10 members of his squad are out of contract in June.

Middlesbrough's draw at Swansea City last weekend means they have taken just two points from their last five matches, with their last win coming at Peterborough on 2 April.
Nevertheless, Chris Wilder was in bullish mood after seeing his team pegged back having taken the lead at Swansea, insisting they are “100% still alive" in the play-off race.
"The two teams above us have got two difficult games to play and the teams around us have got difficult games to play, but we have too," he said.
"We’re back home [against Cardiff] and we understand it’s a huge game, a season-defining game for us.
"We’ve got a fighting chance and our fixtures are like everyone else's. They’re winnable, but if we don’t get it right we can drop points and there is no margin for error from here on in.”
Middlesbrough v Cardiff City (19:45 BST)
The stakes are low tonight for 19th-placed Cardiff City, but for Middlesbrough, this looks close to being a must-win game.
Should they take all three points, Boro will jump from ninth to seventh in the table - and will be within two points of sixth-placed Sheffield United with two games of 2021-22 remaining.
Boro host Stoke on Saturday before finishing the regular season at Preston, while the Blades are at Queens Park Rangers this Friday and end with a home game against Fulham.
Blackburn and Millwall, who are both two points better off than Middlesbrough as it stands, are also in the mix.
A home win tonight would make things interesting for Chris Wilder's team. Anything less would make them outsiders in the race for sixth.
Middlesbrough v Cardiff City (19:45 BST)
Cardiff City make two changes from last Saturday's defeat at Sheffield United.
Wales attacking midfielder Rubin Colwill is recalled in what looks like a switch from a back five to a back four, with left-back Joel Bagan out injured.
Central midfielder Will Vaulks replaces Joe Ralls, who is missing after being ruled out for the season through injury.
Cardiff: Phillips; Drameh, Denham, Nelson (capt), Ng; Vaulks, Wintle, Doyle, Colwill; Watters, Hugill.
Subs: Luthra, Flint, McGuinness, Semenyo, King, Harris, Collins.
