Kerr's goal was harsh on City by the way. Very harsh.

As soon as that ball fell to Sam Ker on the right-hand side, Alanna Kennedy stepped in and mis-timed her tackle. We talk about being smart and clinical and that is exactly what it was, it's a poor decision from Kennedy.

Alex Greenwood does well to buy some time for her team but it takes that horrible deflection off her and that takes it just inside the post and sends the keeper the wrong way.

A horrible way for City to lose the silverware, should it be the decisive goal.

    Sam Kerr (99 mins)

    Oh no Alanna Kennedy!

She misjudges a long ball forward and allows Sam Kerr to drive to the City goal from the halfway line.

It's a two v one, and Kerr goes for the shot, which deflects in off Alex Greenwood.

Joy for Chelsea. Heartbreak for City.

The striker has got the right to go for that - very sloppy play from Chelsea. If that had resulted in a goal that would be hugely infuriating for Emma Hayes and her side. Sloppy play.

Manchester City have the momentum now coming into extra-time. The character they have, to start the season the way they did, and to end it like this, it's a credit to their players.
