3. Senegal also qualify after finishing second in Group A, two points ahead of Ecuador
4. FT: Ecuador 1-2 Senegal - Sarr (pen) and Koulibaly for Senegal; Caicedo for Ecuador
5. Netherlands will play runners-up from Group B on Saturday; Senegal will face Group B winner on Sunday

Just wide from Boulaye Dia, who capitalises on a mistake from Pervis Estupinan in the Ecuador defence.

That would have surely have sealed a last-16 place.

Another Netherlands change with a couple of minutes left - Ajax midfielder Kenneth Taylor is on for Frenkie de Jong, scorer of the second goal.

Aliou Cisse is out trying to direct his Senegal players into position. They've gone 4-5-1 with everyone pretty much behind the ball.

The passing has become very frantic on both sides here with neither able to keep the ball for more than a few passes. So much at stake.

Surprising fact thanks to the statisticians at Nielsen's Gracenote - De Jong is the most common family name in the Netherlands but Frenkie de Jong is only the second De Jong to score a World Cup goal for Dutch, after Theo de Jong in 1974 versus Bulgaria.

You need cool heads in there. All of a sudden, this game has been thrown into turmoil. We're where we were at the start of the second half but both sides have gone from looking so comfortable at set pieces to being all at sixes and sevens.

There were just 150 seconds separating Moises Caicedo's equaliser and Kalidou Koulibaly's goal to put Senegal back in front.
