The Iran fans can be heard again. Probably nothing but consolation, but they enjoyed that.

What a bench England have. Rashford, Foden and Grealish all coming on.

    England 4-1 Iran

Harry Maguire departs. he's had a good game. One to silence the doubters a bit.

    Eric Dier replaces him.

There are other changes, too. Three of them. Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford give England a whole new attack.

    No hat-trick for Saka, then.

All this after Iran were allowed to come forward with England down to 10 men for Ahmad Noorollahi to fire over.

Hopefully a sensible decision will be made because Harry Maguire doesn't look right. You can just see it in his eyes.

For Maguire to perform how he did, especially in the first half, attacking in both boxes. He can be proud and hold his head high. It's a good step in the right direction.

It was just one of those moves where England switched off for a second and Taremi has made a great run. It's a straight pass on the left side of him and Harry Maguire just can't react to it in time.

Harry Maguire is down and getting his head checked. Is this another concussion check? Surely England don't take any risks here and get the big man off.

Iran are in a huddle. They'll be saying if they can get another goal quickly it will have England wobbling.

Mehdi Taremi is a player of real quality but he has had so little in this game. He drifts round the back of Maguire and Stones cannot get round. It is a brilliant strike from Taremi in off the bar.

A moment for Taremi to show the world exactly what he's all about. Instinctively he just smashes it into the roof of the net. Nothing Pickford can do it about that. Maybe it's a minor wake up call for England.

    Right finish!

Mehdi Taremi is found in the box by a neat pass and he lashes a first-time shot in off the underside of the bar. It is greeted by an almighty cheer.

    Iran on the board!

Bukayo Saka is absolutely flying. He bids his time being one on one. He just slots it in like he's in training. He's just got himself a brace in the World Cup, playing for England.

It's a brilliant finish, it really is. Just that quality, he shifted it back, brought it back, a little body swerve. All of those things get you the opportunity to get the shot off in such a tight space.

Bukayo Saka has had so much joy down that right hand side. It is wonderful play from Raheem Sterling to hold up the ball and take the blow for his team. Saka has got all the time in the world, it wasn't the greatest of strikes but he will not care.

The contrast for Saka between his last appearance at a major tournament for England and this. Utter joy.

    Bukayo Saka

Oh, this just gets better and better!

Raheem Sterling finds Bukayo Saka in the Iran box and he does the rest. He cuts inside, past one man, past two, a dummy and then a rolled in low finish. Took a deflection but who cares.

It was like he was weaving past traffic cones. Two for the Arsenal man.

Anon: A perfect opportunity now for Gareth Southgate to rotate, rest players, try different combinations and play those on the fringe of the squad into some form. Especially with Iran now starting to lose their discipline and tackling heavily.

There is a few substitutes getting ready. You can always tell because the tempo picks up and there is an England coach keeping an eye on the players. I think a change must be imminent.

Jude Bellingham is everywhere, he is just patrolling the pitch. It seems where ever the ball goes he is there. He has that ability to find the ball at all times.

Luke Shaw wants in on the fun.

Jude Bellingham's control slightly lets him down on the edge of the Iran box but it just presents a chance for the left-back to hit. All whacks his effort into an Iranian defender, though.

As dominant England have been, it's just 0.80-0.15 in their favour on xG.

What that says is that all three goals were excellent finishes. The yellow circles represent the goals.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh's volley at the end of the first half remains Iran's only effort but it was a decent opportunity.
