Issam Jebali collects the ball just inside the Denmark half, runs at goal and finishes with the outside of the boot past Kasper Schmeichel.

But he looked offside from the second he collected the ball and just after all that effort and putting the ball in the net the assistant's flag goes up. That could have gone up 30 seconds earlier.

You can just feel Eriksen's effect growing. From set pieces and his quality when he gets on the ball. It could come down to that for Denmark.

Denmark have grown into the game in the last 10 minutes or so and that has equalled out the strong Tunisia start.

That is reflected in the game's action areas being very equal so far.

Great work down the left from full-back Joakim Maehle who gets forward for Denmark and his cross is turned behind by a diving Ali Abdi. Christian Eriksen swings in the corner from the right and again it's well defended.

Aymen Dahmen in the Tunisia goal has not had too much to do in these opening 20 minutes.

Tunisia, fired up and passionate, this is like a complete away game for the Danes.

It's all Tunisia. I like the backline they've got, they're all comfortable and confident in their ability. They are very calm under pressure... so far.

We can see from the average position of every player (Denmark in black, Tunisia in pink) that it is Tunisia who have started this game the better.

Issam Jebali and Youssef Msakni have both had efforts blocked for Tunisia, and Mohamed Drager, on the books of Nottingham Forest but with no senior appearances for Steve Cooper's side, has just tried his luck from 25 yards.

It takes a huge deflection off Andreas Christensen and the ball could've gone absolutely anywhere. Kasper Schmeichel in the Denmark goal has to just watch and hope and fortunately for him the effort flies just wide for a corner, which comes to nothing.

This is Kasper Hjulmand’s second consecutive major tournament as Denmark manager. He led the Danes to the semi-finals at Euro 2020, their best performance at a major tournament since winning Euro 1992.

Great start in many ways. Good tempo but good luck trying to keep that up for 90 minutes. But Tunisia have started at a good level. They have put a lot of pressure on the Danes by going down and shouting for everything.

Tunisian players are throwing themselves to the ground but the referee is not falling for it. They have to stop that because the referee is not standing for it.

Anis Ben Slimane of Tunisia tries his luck inside the penalty area but his low shot is blocked by the Danes. It's been a frantic, 100-miles-per-hour, start to this one.

That reaction is incredible, I don't think I have ever seen that in the first few minutes of the game. No need to get them the Tunisia fans up for this, they are already very excited!

Aissa Laidouni is certainly a fired-up man. He dives in for a full-length sliding challenge on Christian Eriksen, perfectly fairly winning the ball and then he roars at the Tunisia fans urging more noise from them. He celebrated that challenge as if he's stuck in a volley from 25 yards.

Great to see. That's what the World Cup means to them.

Tunisia will want to come out and they will be lifted by the fact that there has been a super shock already today. This wouldn't be a super shock but it will be good to see two teams going at each other, hopefully we see that.

Denmark start and instantly sprint forward, winning a corner inside the opening minute but Christian Eriksen's right-wing corner is headed away as the Europeans instantly on the front foot.

This will be Tunisia's sixth appearance at the FIFA World Cup – they have never progressed past the group stages. Tunisia were the first African nation to win a match at the FIFA World Cup, beating Mexico 3-1 in 1978.
