Morocco fans are banging their drums and waving their flags.

They've made a great start and with plenty of big game experience in the side, you fancy them to finish the job.

It's pretty quiet in the stadium. Not much noise. There's a small group of Croatia fans behind the goal Belgium are attacking. They jeered when Kevin de Bruyne touched the ball.

Belgium have settled after a patchy start. Yannick Carrasco has an attempt from inside the box but it's blocked.

A draw is no good for Roberto Martinez's players as it stands. They need a win.

Hakim Ziyech whips in an in-swinging corner as the Morocco pressure continues.

Goalkeeper Milan Borjan is able to deal with this one - although his punch isn't completely convincing.

Morocco have avoided defeat in their last five matches when scoring the opening goal in the World Cup, dating back to June 3 1970, when they lost 2-1 to West Germany.

There are 12 players in the starting XIs aged 30 or older in Croatia v Belgium.

In World Cup history, only Argentina v Iceland in 2018 and Brazil v Scotland in 1998 have ever had more players aged 30+ start in the same match (both 13).

It's a dream start for Morocco and they're all over Canada now!

The African nation have the support behind them and the Canadian players look rushed and uncomfortable following that bizarre early setback.

That goal has put Morocco in prime position to advance as Group F winners.

Well I know Christmas isn't far away but this really is a present. Ziyech isn't going to miss this.

Ziyech as if he's at the local golf course, he just chips it into the green. The goalkeeper Borjan is in no man's land. It's a beautiful finish. Perfect start for Morocco, exactly what you need.

What a start, what a noise!

The roof has come off Al Thumama, Morocco fans are dancing in the stands.

They're on their way to the knockout stages, knowing Canada now need two.

Lovely skill by Yannick Carrasco who looks Belgium's most threatening player at the moment but it's been a sloppy start by the team ranked number two in the world. Even Kevin de Bruyne has given the ball away in the early exchanges.

The jeers from the Morocco fans when Canada have the ball and then the cheers when they gain possession are SO loud.

They are generating a tremendous atmosphere.

Alphonso Davies takes charge for Canada and brings his side up the pitch but rather than take on an early shot he cuts back and can't find a team-mate with his pass. Good tempo to this. Every Canada touch is being whistled and jeered by the Moroccan fans.

What a start that would have been, under 10 seconds and it was just one long ball. I don't think Meunier the right back was expecting that at all, he just watched the ball sail over his head, Perisic onto it, he can come inside and shoot and showed how.

It was a brilliantly worked set piece almost from the kick off. Signature pass from Luka Modric and it was nearly a brilliant start from Croatia.

They're looking slick - what a start to the game.

Belgium are all over the place at the back. It's a really nervous start by the Red Devils, while Croatia have settled quickly and look as though they mean business.

Morocco have been really outstanding. A point is enough but I think they should go at this and try and win it but be compact and difficult to beat as always.
