How's this for even? These two can't be split when it comes to territory.

Better by Croatia. A cross is whipped into Belgium's box and Marko Livaja is up to meet up but it flies over the bar.

    Canada 0-2 Morocco

Great defending! There's no hint from Alistair Johnston that there's nothing to play for as he slides in superbly to block a shot inside the penalty area.

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on BBC Two

I fancied Canada to do something special in this group which they threatened to do. Now I think they are just devoid of confidence. They've got to move the ball a bit quicker.

    Canada 0-2 Morocco

This has felt like a proper atmosphere from the first whistle. I can only imagine what the noise will be like at full-time if Morocco do reach the last 16 for the first time in 36 years.

    Croatia 0-0 Belgium

Belgium have some serious work to do. They have to win this game, as things stand, otherwise the 2018 semi-finalists are on their way home. Lots of pretty build-up play by the Red Devils but they are lacking cutting edge in front of goal.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Canada 0-2 Morocco

Jonathan Osorio joins Junior Hoilett in the referee's book as the frustration begins to show among the Canada players. This is not how their World Cup send off was meant to go.

It's a long way back from here to avoid three straight defeats in Qatar.

Canada are lacking rhythm in their passing.

Morocco are breezing through here, WHAT a pass it was from Achraf Hakimi.

A thumping finish from Youssef En-Nesyri before celebrating with his arms out wide and nodding his head in front of his supporters.

A man who knows that was a brilliant finish.

En-Nesyri bows down into sujood before trotting back for kick-off.

Morocco do that really well. They defend as a unit and get around each other.

  14. Postpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Canada 0-2 Morocco

If Morocco could have asked for how the opening 25 minutes would go, they couldn't have wished for much more than this!

They're in control now and with their recent defensive record they'll feel rather confident of getting the job done from here.

We talked about En-Nesyri being a question mark coming into this game. The manager backed him and he has shown why.

That is really emphatic, top finish, good pace and he just buries it.

I didn't think he was favourite for it but he just got it out of his feet and beat the keeper at his near post. That is a nightmare for Canada.

    Croatia 0-0 Belgium

    Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

They're just allowing a lot of crosses Belgium, there's no pressure on the ball out wide. They just can't get out there quick enough.

    Youssef En-Nesyri (23 mins)

    Morocco double their lead!

It comes from a simple ball up to Youssef En-Nesyri, who does brilliantly to bring it under control, hold off two defenders and drill the ball past Milan Borjan.

The Atlas Lions are well on their way to a last-16 spot!

  20. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2022

    Canada 0-1 Morocco

Morocco have a Scotland style problem with two class right backs in the squad.

PSG's Achraf Hakimi gets the nod in his favoured position with Bayern's Noussair Mazraoui having to switch to left-back to get both players in.
