The wide players for Cameroon haven't played particularly well. They seem to have run out of gas.

That's a real shame, it seemed to be their most dangerous area. They've looked toothless.

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Vincent Aboubakar are introduced for Cameroon in place of Eric Choupo-Moting and Karl Toko-Ekambi, whose influence has waned.

No real signs of a Cameroon fightback at present. Switzerland have pretty much got everyone behind the ball when they are not in possession.

Time for Swiss boss Murat Yakin to shuffle his pack.

Fabian Frei replaces Djibril Sow, Haris Seferovic comes on for Breel Embolo and Noah Okafor is on for Xherdan Shaqiri.

Gael Ondoua replaces Martin Hongla for Cameroon.

How did he miss? Breel Embolo has a chance to put the game beyond Cameroon at the back stick and hooks over.

Actually no he didn't it's a brilliant bit of defending from Frank Anguissa.

SENSATIONAL.

Ruben Vargas runs onto another cutback from the right. The Augsburg winger is only 10 yards out or so and looks to have picked his spot but Andre Onana keeps his team in the match with a brilliant bit of goalkeeping, instinctively diving left to push the ball away.

Chance for Cameroon to level as Frank Anguissa gets up eight yards or so out and heads to the right corner. It's fairly comfortable for Yann Sommer, though who dives to his left and saves for Switzerland.

Nico Elvedi goes in the referee's book for tugging back Eric Choupo-Moting. He'll happily take that one.

If you are 1-0 down, when you break, every midfielder needs to get forward.

Cameroon aren't getting the numbers. It doesn't matter who gets the ball, they are on their own.

You are not going to win if you don't take some chances.

What is Ruben Vargas thinking? The Switzerland winger gets in down the right and blasts an effort wide but he had Breel Embolo racing into the middle for a tap in.

Surely he had to square that?

Eric Choupo-Moting wriggles into some space down the right but can't beat Yann Sommer at the near stick.

Tight angle that but nobody really in support.

Cameroon have reacted well to that goal. After being punished for initially sitting back at the start of this half they are very much on the front foot now.

I've not seen any Alphorns knocking about in the Al Janoub Stadium (they're not exactly the sort of item that fits into hand luggage on the plane) but that Swiss goal has definitely silenced the vuvuzela's that were ringing out in the first half.

Whoever thought up the idea of an instrument that seems to give human beings the capacity to generate as much noise as a herd of irate elephants, well, enough said.

Cameroon have failed to win in their last four matches when conceding the opening goal in the World Cup dating back to 24th June 2010 against Netherlands.

Meanwhile, Breel Embolo, who was born in Cameroon, has scored in each of his last three competitive appearances for Switzerland.
