South Korea can't go out today but they would be wobbling on top of the trap door if it ends like this.

If you like the sound of trumpets, you'd love being stuck in the middle of where Ghana's fans are right now. Great noise.

    Dion Dublin

Lamptey does really well, he wriggles away from two players. It's just on his weaker left foot and he sends it high and wide.

    South Korea 0-2 Ghana

Ghana's first shot in anger of the second half comes from the boot of Tariq Lamptey who does well to create space for himself outside the box.

It's the team in red who are enjoying all the possession but Ghana, who conceded three in their first game, are strong at the back. Mohammed Salisu and Daniel Amartey have been solid.

Steady start to the new half. No signs of panic from South Korea who have serious work ahead of them. They are the only side yet to have a shot on target at the World Cup, attempting 13 shots in total so far.

  9. 'We're dangerous from set-pieces'published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    South Korea 0-2 Ghana

Ghana assistant manager George Boateng: "We'll try again in the second half to service the box as best we can. It's really important for us because we know how dangerous we can be from set-pieces."

  10. 'South Korea were not efficient'published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    South Korea 0-2 Ghana

    Didier Drogba
Former Ivory Coast striker on BBC One

South Korea had so many chances to create something but they were not efficient at all. That is the difference between them and Ghana.

  11. 'Big half-time team talk'published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    South Korea 0-2 Ghana

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Ghana won't be happy with the first 20 minutes but the half has been outstanding. I think Jordan Ayew and Inaki Williams have been good. They have also defended really well, it is a big half-time team talk for Paulo Bento.

The lack of cutting edge is the thing that has let down South Korea. You can see Bento on the sideline, he kicks every ball. He won't be calm, he will be throwing a few things around the changing room.

  12. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

Man of the moment Andre Ayew gets the second half under way.

  13. 'South Korea far too deep'published at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    HT: South Korea 0-2 Ghana

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC One

This South Korean side are dropping way too deep on set pieces and it brings in a whole load of problems. They should be a lot higher up, the reason being, when the ball drops and bounces around, you're inviting all kind of problems.

Gideon Mensah booted the ball away with the last kick off that second half and it received the biggest roar.

The party has started early for the Ghana fans and rightly so after that first-half performance.

South Korea trudge off down the tunnel, while Andre Ayew gets his players in a huddle before they go into the changing rooms together to hear from the boss.

    HT: South Korea 0-2 Ghana

    Dion Dublin
Former England striker on BBC One

Very good half for Ghana. They've tried to go down the outsides, South Korea are very, very narrow but I don't know what the manager said to this Ghana side - they look quick, they look strong. They're up for this one.

  19. 'Great character'published at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2022

    HT: South Korea 0-2 Ghana

    John Bennett
BBC World Service Sport at the Education City Stadium

I was in the Ghana team hotel on Saturday and was really impressed by how calm and relaxed the camp was going into such a huge game. They didn’t allow themselves to get too down after the Portugal defeat and took the positives from the second half performance.

I sensed a quiet confidence from technical director Chris Hughton that they had the ability in their relatively inexperienced squad to hurt South Korea. That attitude has carried into the game.

There have been tough moments but they stayed solid and at the other end have been ruthless. Great character from Ghana. And in Mohammed Kudus they have a genuine future star.
