Portugal are cruising into the last 16 at the break alongside Uruguay.

But it's still all to play for. If Ghana come from 2-0 down to avoid defeat against Uruguay they could go through at their opponents' expense.

If South Korea go ahead against Portugal they may also be able to qualify on goal difference.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2022

    Ghana 0-2 Uruguay

Inaki Williams just can't quite reach a ball over the top and that should be that for the first period.

Yep, there's the whistle. What a first half!

It's been a dream for Uruguay. Ghana have a lot of work to do.

  5. 'No shortage'published at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2022

    HT: South Korea 1-1 Portugal

No shortage of shots in this one with 10 for Portugal and five for South Korea.

Ricardo Horta, Portugal's goal scorer, has attempted more than any other player with three.

Portugal have managed six shots on target, twice as many as the Koreans.

    Ghana 0-2 Uruguay

Daniel Amartey collides with Facundo Pellistri in the Ghana penalty area as he looks to shield the ball and allow Lawrence Ati-Zigi to gather.

Penalty? Pellistri thinks so but it just looks like a coming together and the referee waves play on.

Ghana haven't really been in the game, they haven't created anything or got into crossing positions to set anything up.

It's going to be difficult for them.

  8. Watch: De Arrascaeta doubles leadpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2022

    Ghana 0-2 Uruguay

Giorgian de Arrascaeta's double is the earliest a Uruguay player has scored twice in a World Cup match since Juan Peregrino Anselmo against Yugoslavia in 1930.

    This was a fine finish.

There is something in this for South Korea, if they keep getting crosses in, they've got a chance.

I think Portugal will be better second half, but South Korea will believe.

    Ghana 0-2 Uruguay

It's Uruguay who look more likely to add to their tally before the break but Ghana are managing to stay compact enough for now. They certainly can't let this get any worse before half-time, with two goals already required to progress as it stands.

Ghana look absolutely shell-shocked after those two Uruguay goals.

That missed penalty sapped all the confidence out of them.

Their fans are trying to keep spirits up but it's a huge ask from here against this very experienced Uruguay side.

Free-kick to Uruguay out on the right.

Luis Suarez retrieves it on the opposite side and that's met by a chorus of boos. He then beats one man with a nutmeg but sees his progress halted soon after. He's absolutely loving this.
