Groans from the French end as the big screens here show a replay of that Olivier Giroud miss down the other end of the pitch. They probably didn't quite realise what a golden chance it was first time around.

That wasn't a bad miss by Olivier Giroud, it was a terrible ball in from Ousmane Dembele.

He riffles the ball across. Giroud would have had the easiest of chances.

I think that's a poor ball from Dembele, I think he put too much on it. It was too strong, he could have rolled it a little bit slower and Giroud just couldn't get there in time.

Poland will be very lucky if they can win this. Already France have been having many shots from, Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann. They are going to need some heroics from Lewandowski and Szczesny to pull this off.

How has Olivier Giroud not scored here?!

Antoine Griezmann sets Ousmane Dembele away down the right. Dembele blasts the ball across the six-yard box and Giroud slides it wide of an empty net at the back post.

The cross was probably overhit but still.

Zooooooom. Kylian Mbappe has Przemyslaw Frankowski on toast this time with a run but a second Polish player runs in to bail Frankowski out.

Encouraging for Poland. A spell of possession in the French half. Controlled possession.

They may just be beginning to feel as though they are gaining a foothold in this game.

Decent spell for Poland, in so much as they have an attack, but Przemyslaw Frankowski's effort is blocked.

For once we can say Kylian Mbappe had to track back to try to stop Matty Cash too.

Brian: That Szczesny is like a hawk.

Szczesny's keeping goal is going to be key to their getting a positive result today. Also their forwards need to draw a foul from French defenders on the rare occasions they see the ball.

Well done Matty Cash. This time he beats Kylian Mbappe to Adrien Rabiot's ball down the wing.

What a moment that would have been! Poland legend Robert Lewandowski gets the ball 30 yards out and has a crack but it sails wide. You don't really think of him as a scorer of long-range goals.

The France fans have found their drum and are trying to liven things up, but the atmosphere in here is pretty flat at the moment.

I think it's down to Kylian Mbappe to change that, rather than Poland.
