What a strike this is!

Substitute Rafael Leao surges towards the box, he cuts inside and Cristiano Ronaldo shows for the ball at the far post but Leao goes at it alone, sending a stunning effort curling into the far corner, goalkeeper rooted.

Portugal have done everything they needed to, on the ball and off the ball.

Could they have done this with Cristiano Ronaldo in the team? I don't think they could have done it, as a team.

There are fans falling over their feet for Cristiano Ronaldo in the stands. Every time he touches the ball they are cheering and standing up. The noise when that hit the back of the net, followed by the sudden silence when the flag went up... Ouch.

He was miles offside but they are so desperate for him to score, many were in denial!

Cristiano Ronaldo was so far offside, we all could have flagged that. He was the only player in the Switzerland half.

Superb finish but he was way off. It is pantomime season and its like that here now, with the offside flag booed by the Portugal fans.

It has been a joy to watch. They have a huge appreciation for each other and it looks like the Portugal players have just enjoyed playing a different game to Switzerland.

Switzerland haven't offered anywhere near enough but they are plugging away, trying to get another goal as Breel Embolo hooks an acrobatic effort just wide.
