I was really pleased to see it. A young kid coming into a game like this, it is a lot of pressure on his shoulders because he was replacing Cristiano Ronaldo.

He is two footed, he can play with his left and his right foot. Portugal have a bright future with these guys up top.

  3. 'Ronaldo wasn't sulking'published at 21:56 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2022

It is worth mentioning that Ronaldo celebrated the first two goals like crazy, I have given him criticism for sulking but he wasn't sulking.

It looked on social media like he was sulking but he wasn't.

  4. 'Ronaldo can still contribute'published at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2022

    Ian Wright
    Former England striker on ITV

Ramos scored a hat trick and will take all the headlines and deservedly so.

His first goal, it set the stall for the match. He scored a goal he wasn't meant to score, he hit it so early and so well. That set them on the road.

This is a team that could easily go all the way and Ronaldo can still really contribute. If he gets it all right in his head he could end up scoring the winning goal for them in the final.

One of the key differences tonight has been Portugal's quality in front of goal.

Fernando Santos' side have had 14 shots tonight (shown by the arrows on the right of the graphic), with nine on target and leading to their six goals.

In contrast Switzerland, who have had 52% possession, have put just three of their 10 shots on target.
