The biggest roar of the night when Cristiano Ronaldo comes on. Portugal have scored five goals - some wonderful ones - but that was a defeaning roar.

His first touch gets a huge cheer too.

Here comes some changes and the first is a popular one as Cristiano Ronaldo comes on, he replaces the hat-trick hero Goncalo Ramos.

Otavio and Joao Felix also go off for Ricardo Horta and Vitinha.

Rampant Ramos

A night to remember for Goncalo Ramos, who probably thought he wouldn't start in front of you know who.

Before this World Cup, the 21-year-old Benfica forward had only played 33 minutes for Portugal.

Tonight, on his first start, he has scored a hat-trick!

From six shots, Ramos has stuck five of them on target and converted three of them.

Oh, and he set up Portugal's fourth for Raphaël Guerreiro.

It's all smiles for Portugal, and there are none bigger than Goncalo Ramos'.

He cannot believe it. He is thrilled.

The composure to finish that. It must have dawned on him 'I'm going to score a hat-trick at a World Cup here', and it is a perfect finish.

It has been an amazing performance. He is a really, really talented young player.

Remember the name!

Goncalo Ramos, the man brought in to replace Cristiano Ronaldo remember, completes his hat-trick on his first international start and this one's a beauty as he runs onto Joao Felix's ball, draws out the goalkeeper and then clips the ball over him and into the net.

An incredible display by the 21-year-old and Fernando Santos was clearly right to resist those calls to bring on Ronaldo.

Switzerland are enjoying a good spell of possession but it ends in disappointing fashion as Shaqiri launches a shot way, way over the bar from outside the box.

If Switzerland can get another goal soon things could become interesting. They have scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of games at this World Cup, more than any other team.

'Portugal look the real deal'

Ben: Ronaldo has been a class act over the years, only a fool would claim otherwise, but let's face it, Portugal and Manchester United look like better sides without him. There's far more balance to the performance, more purpose, and I imagine, less tension between the players without the ego. Portugal have looked the real deal tonight. Switzerland aren't much poorer than South Korea were against Brazil, but this is what pedigree can do...

Before the recent flurry of goals Switzerland made a couple of changes as Remo Freuler and Djibril Sow were replaced by Denis Zakaria and Haris Seferovic.

"Ronaldo, Ronaldo," is chanted from the Portugal fans. There's no doubt about who they want to see on the pitch soon.
