    France 2-0 Morocco

That was indeed Randal Kolo Muani's first touch. His only touch yet - he hasn't had the ball since.

Stranger things have happened but we would need to see maybe the greatest World Cup storyline ever for Morocco to go through from here.

Just to reiterate on the France substitutions, I think they have made a real difference.

Moving Kylian Mbappe into the middle and getting Marcus Thuram tracking Archaf Hakimi has made a real difference.

That is of great credit to Didier Deschamps.

Muani's first touch. It was a careless pass in the middle of the park from Morocco. Mbappe feeds the ball forward to Thuram who pops it back.

Muani can't miss from two yards, that's pretty much game over. Brilliant feet from Mbappe who drives inside Amrabat. France get the break they needed.

Deschamps off the bench, he is happy. He know that's more than likely game over.

    France 2-0 Morocco

Randal Kolo Muani only made his international debut in September. This is his fourth cap. The 24-year-old, who replaced the injured Christopher Nkunku in the World Cup squad, joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Nantes in the summer.

    Danny Murphy

The substitutions have worked for Didier Deschamps that is for sure.

It was a great bit of skill from Kylian Mbappe and it was an easy tap-in for Randal Kolo Muani.

I think that is game, set and match.

GOAL - France 2-0 Moroccopublished at 79 mins

    Randal Kolo Muani

Is this his first touch? Surely Morocco are done now.

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani almost certainly sends France to the final with his first international goal.

Kylian Mbappe jinks through in the box and a shot which is deflected into the path of Kolo Muani, six yards out, and he makes no mistake.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

    France 1-0 Morocco

Morocco substitute the substitute. Selim Amallah, who came on in the first half, is replaced by young Barcelona forward Abdessamad Ezzalzouli - who is on loan at Osasuna.

Another Barca player, Ousmane Dembele, is replaced by Randal Kolo Muani for France.

  9. 'Hopeless from Hamdallah'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2022

    France 1-0 Morocco

    Chris Sutton
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Hopeless from Hamdallah. Had the opportunity to get a shot off at least on a couple of occasions and he was trying to walk the ball in. Are Morocco going to get a better chance than that?

Now Abderrazak Hamdallah shoots from an impossible angle and it's wide. Hmmmm.

  11. 'Got to hit it'published at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2022

    France 1-0 Morocco

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

    You've got to hit it!

He had done the hard work and made the space for the shot. It was one too many chops.

  12. Postpublished at 76 mins

    France 1-0 Morocco

The problem with Morocco is they try to walk the ball into the net...

Abderrazak Hamdallah takes on one man and another and another and he's in a shooting position but tries to take on another player and loses the ball.

    SHOOOOOOOOOOT.

  13. 'Can Morocco create the momentum?'published at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2022

    France 1-0 Morocco

    Chris Sutton
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Morocco have just lost their way a little bit, the last five or so minutes. Can they create something and gather that momentum again?

Marcus Thuram has had a big impact since coming on. He finds Youssouf Fofana in the box and the midfielder shoots into the side-netting.

It was a teasing ball in and he should score. He is under a little bit of pressure but he'll be disappointed with that.
