Following his side's 3-1 defeat by 10-man Rangers, Motherwell manager Graham Alexander tells BBC Sportsound: "First half, couldn't have been happier. Deservedly got a great equaliser.

"Second half, we started with a passive mindset and we got punished. The game slipped away from us because it's hard to turn that around.

"The start to the second half is the biggest disappointment for us without a shadow of the doubt, because it was a complete contrast to the first half.

"We had to continue to commit as a team right from the front, all the way through the midfield and the back four to put pressure under Rangers."

Goalkeeper Jak Alnwick's return from suspension will be a significant boost for Stephen Robinson, who is still looking for his first home win as St Mirren manager.

The Northern Irishman makes another four changes on top of that.

Charles Dunne - who misses the rest of the season a stress fracture in his foot - Alex Gogic, Jordan Jones and Jay Henderson all miss out for Hibs' visit.

Manager Mark McGhee has been thrown in suggestions that he'll go naked for a week if his Dundee side beat St Johnstone, explaining that it was all part of his desire to "change" the mood for the top-flight's bottom side.

However, there are no changes to the starting line-up that drew 2-2 with Dundee United before the Premiership split.

Despite a chastening 7-0 defeat by Celtic before the winter break, St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson elects not to make major changes to his side.

Instead, he makes just two tweaks to that side.

Former Dundee United and Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci starts for the visitors in place of Rangers' on-loan winger Glenn Middleton.

Defender Dan Cleary also comes into the side ahead of James Brown, who drops to the bench.

In the absence of manager David Martindale after his hospital visit, on-loan Liverpool left-back Adam Lewis and midfielder Andrew Shinnie come in from the start as they replace James Penrice and Alan Forrest from the side that drew 2-2 with Motherwell a fortnight ago.

Centre-half Ryan Porteous serves the third of his four-game ban, the only change from the Hibs side that lost 2-1 to Hearts last weekend in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Strker Elias Melkersen replaces him, with interim manager David Gray seemingly changing formations.

Josh Doig is only fit enough for the bench as the left-back returns from injury.

Rangers survive a big test to their title credentials to narrow the gap on Celtic to three points ahead of the leaders' trip to face Ross County on Sunday.

Scott Wright's opener was followed by a Leon Balogun red card after only 29 minutes and a Ross Tierney equaliser.

But second-half goals from Wright and Tavernier, from the penalty spot, gives Rangers a dominant victory.

A late chance for Motherwell to put pressure on the visitors.

Mark O'Hara, who has scored four goals against Rangers in his career, rises above Calvin Bassey, but the midfielder heads wide from 10 yards.

Rangers have just three minutes of stoppage time to survive in order to secure the three points.

Rangers make two changes, with striker Cedric Itten and defender Leon King replacing midfielder Steven Davis and winger Scott Wright.

Another swift and jinking run by Fashion Sakala into the Well penalty box.

However, the striker is so quick that there are no teammates able to get into the six yard box to provide the finish to his cross.
