Celtic have got the champagne on ice as they wait for a title party in the coming weeks.

Rangers will need an ice bath to go again for Thursday's Europa League semi-final second leg with RB Leipzig at Ibrox.

Enjoy what's left of your Sunday and we'll see you again soon.

  2. 'These games are special'published at 14:52 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart joins BBC Sportsound for a quick chat, saying: "These games are special. Every time we have played them there has been so much on the line. Today, we showed up, we were strong and they showed what a resilient hard working team they are with the quality to hurt you.

"The game was to-ing and fro-ing. It got very basketbally at the end. We're a team that plays to win. Maybe tactically another team would have thought '1-1, with a six point lead' that's just not us.

"Every now and again I'm asked to make a save and I do my best. I managed to do it on this occasion."

So that's it for Old Firm contests this season.

We've had five and they've all been crackers. Two wins apiece and now a draw, which suggests there's not much between the Glasgow giants.

Celtic are on their way to league glory once more, wresting the title back from Ibrox.

Rangers have a Europa League semi-final second leg to look forward to on Thursday and a Scottish Cup final against Hearts on 21 May.

  5. Celtic 'at doorstep of title' - Postecogloupublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

More from Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou, who tells BBC Sportsound: "It's not the time for reflection. That time will come at the appropriate moment.

"Right now I'm just focused on supporting the players, they've been unbelievable this year.

"It's still stage one as far as I'm concerned. We can play better, not through a lack of trying, a lot of these guys are still in their first year at the club.

"It was about building something this year. We were under no illusions our goal was also to have success and we're at the doorstep of that now."

  6. 'I couldn't ask for more' - Van Bronckhorstpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst tells Sky Sports: "We needed to win to close the gap to three points, we didn't, we drew, but I think we did everything. I couldn't ask for more, especially in the second half.

"We pushed really hard to come back in the game and had good opportunities to win the game. But in the end we are two points short.

"In the second half after 60 or 65 minutes we were getting stronger and stronger. The only thing is we didn't score the big chances we had.

"We had a good performance today, physically we looked strong as well, now we have three days to prepare for Leipzig. We have to show the same intentions and character we showed today on Thursday."

  7. 'A draw is fair' - Postecogloupublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou tells BBC Sportsound: "It was pretty intense as you'd expect with so much on the line.

"You got our noses in front then had our best opportunities to kill the game off. We didn't take them and Rangers to their credit hung in there, they're a good side.

"We had to hold on at the end to get at least the draw we needed. We had to show resilience and Joe Hart made some great saves.

"I think a draw is fair. Both clubs had moments, neither really dominated the game. It was a fairly even contest.

"We knew if we didn't win today we were still in a good position. A draw leaves us in a really good position."

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou tells Sky Sports: "It was a cracking game. It was pretty tight and pretty tense. Ultimately, it was a good contest between two good teams.

"At the end they've got nothing to lose so they throw everything at it.

"Three games to go, we're in a good spot. Hopefully, a good performance against Hearts can push us a little closer."

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

    Neil McCann
Former Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Rangers dominated the second half but Celtic always have that threat with the pace they have and should have had the game buried. Then it was all about character from Rangers and I don't know where those levels of fitness come from. They didn't leave anything on the pitch

  12. 'Next game is always the most important' - Jotapublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Celtic goalscorer Jota tells Sky Sports: "It's always a tough game against Rangers isn't it? We fought for the win, unfortunately we didn't do it.

"In games like this we can never expect to have 99% possession. We just need to know how to play without the ball.

"The next game is always the most important us. We will rest this week and be ready for Hearts."

Rangers came back from out of the blue, I couldn't see it happening. Where they found that energy from I don't know. Rangers had chances to break Celtic but they just couldn't do it. The Celtic crowd were totally energised, then totally spooked, but now they're jubilant here because they know they've won the league.

  16. Celtic within touching distance of the titlepublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 1 May 2022

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Rangers

Celtic need four points over their closing three games to make sure of a 10th title in 11 seasons but, with their huge goal difference advantage, three points next weekend would all but do the job.

Celtic are at home to Hearts next Saturday, while Rangers take on Dundee United at Ibrox on Sunday.
