  1. Cheers for nowpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

Sportscene is on at 19:30 on BBC Scotland and we'll chuck the programme up online too.

Celtic are nine points clear so if Rangers slip up at home to Dundee United at Ibrox tomorrow the title race is officially over.

Dundee need two wins and two St Johnstone defeats to avoid automatic relegation.

  2. 'I’m not unhappy with the performance' - Mackaypublished at 17:56 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    FT: Ross County 0-1 Motherwell

Ross Couty manager Malky Mackay tells BBC Scotland: “Motherwell set up to sit in and try and frustrate us, we had a lot of the ball and we had a lot of chances, and it’s about taking your chances.

“And then, the big decision happens with the penalty and I’ve spoken to Alex [Iacovitti] and he says he’s kicked it off Van Veen so it’s a big decision for the referee to make. After that we have chance after chance and we’ve got to take those.

“Liam Kelly pulled off a couple of really, really good saves but there’s a couple more where we’ve not hit the target and we’ve let them off the hook.

“I’m not unhappy with the performance because overall we’ve certainly controlled a lot of the game and we knew the tactic which Motherwell were deploying - which is fine, that’s what they’re doing - but we’ve got to make sure we actually go and take our chances, and we didn’t.”

  3. 'We've a big job on our hands' - Goodwinpublished at 17:54 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    FT: Hibernian 1-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "Both ourselves and Hibs have massively underachieved this season and I don't think we need to be told that.

"We've got a job on our hands here, I knew what I was coming into. Every big team at some point goes through a transition period and that's what we're going through right now.

"The starting 11 today are all under contract for next season, I went with the team that had something to go and prove, both to me and the supporters that they want to be here and be part of things for next year, and I thought for the first 45 minutes they were very good."

  4. Dunfermline drop down to League 1published at 17:52 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    FT: Dunfermline 0-1 Queen's Park

A disconsolate Dunfermline manager John Hughes tells BBC Scotland: "Emotions are raw, everyone is hurting.

"We need to make sure we are ready to take this club right back up next season and that's not easy.

"Lack of consistency has been our problem and when it comes to a fight we always seem to come off second best."

  5. McGhee urges 'pride' from Dundeepublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    FT: St Mirren 2-0 Dundee

Dundee manager Mark McGhee tells BBC Scotland: "Today was a step back. The first half was as bad as they've played in half a dozen games.

"We had loads of time to recover [from the first goal]. That's more disappointing than the fact that we lost that goal.

"As long as it's mathematically possible, we won't concede but I think it's nigh impossible. What we have to do is go into the last two games trying to keep a pride, trying to keep our fans understanding that we're still trying."

  6. Alexander reckons more points are needed for Europepublished at 17:47 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    FT: Ross County 0-1 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Graham Alexander tells BBC Scotland that he's relieved to finally see his team record a clean sheet after going 13 league games without one.

“The clean sheet has been a long time coming," he said. "Great credit to the players for that and we felt at half-time that if we kept a clean sheet we’d win the game because we felt we had the quality on the pitch at the time and also to come off the bench.

“I'm delighted for the players and everyone connected with our club today because I thought we showed ourselves in a really good light."

Liam Kelly was key for Motherwell this afternoon as they finally kept a clean sheet again in the league

On his side's penalty, he said: "At the time I was hoping it was a penalty because I didn't really see it that clearly but I've seen it again and it was a penalty.

“I think the league table tells you that the teams are evenly matched, most weeks you see really tight results and comes down to moments. I think what the players did in the first half was show great discipline against the ball, we didn’t get loose, we controlled the opponent and we knew we had to go for it in the second half.

“I feel we’re going to have to take something from our next two games to take advantage of the result today.”

  12. St Mirren 'starting to see improvement'published at 17:29 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    FT: St Mirren 2-0 Dundee

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "We did create chances. We probably should've scored more. A lot of good aspects.

"It bodes well going forward. They've bought into what we're doing. We're starting to see that improvement.

"There are 14 boys I have to pay credit to. They're playing through injury, through injections. If we can add to the pool that we've got then we'll have a high energy, pressing team that can play good football."

    FT: Livingston 1-1 St Johnstone

St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson has been reflecting on the fact his side face at least a relegation play-off.

"It doesn't really change what our aim is," he told BBC Scotland about today's result. "It was going to be a tall order to finish 10th from where we were.

"I'll take that performance from last week. We're still looking over our shoulder and have to put really good performances in against Aberdeen and Hibs.

"We want to make sure we can win them and get into the play-offs with a bit of confidence."
