  1. 'Pars under pressure'published at 15:00 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    Kenny Crawford
BBC Sport Scotland at East End Park

East End Park is the venue for some play-off pressure as Dunfermline seek to preserve their Championship status against Queen’s Park - a team intent on going places quickly.

The Pars have spent six seasons in the second tier after coming from League One in 2016. But their frustrated fans want the Fife side to be looking at promotion play-offs rather than peering over their shoulder.

A nervy afternoon awaits and the victor will face either Airdrieonians or Montrose in the final.

  2. Archigoles at Easter Roadpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (15:00)

Former Scotland and Barcelona striker Steve Archibald played for both Hibs and Aberdeen and is a guest at Easter Road for the first time since leaving way back in 1990.

The 65-year-old tells BBC Sportsound: "I don't get to see much Scottish football but the improvement is there. It's important that we bring more young players through."

  3. Hibs & Dons back where they don't want to bepublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (15:00)

The last time Hibernian met Aberdeen in the bottom half of the table following the league split was 2013.

That game, a dour 0-0 draw at Easter Road in front of just 8,362 fans, was Derek McInnes' debut as Dons boss.

It has been an eventful nine years for both since. The Leith men have suffered relegation and enjoyed a Scottish Cup win. They have been through seven different managers, with the search on for their eighth.

It's not been as tumultuous at Pittodrie, with Jim Goodwin just the third incumbent in the dugout since then. But they are facing a first season without European football since 2014, with Goodwin's Aberdeen era yet to ignite after nine games in charge.

    St Mirren v Dundee (15:00)

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at SMISA Stadium

The day has come when, depending on results, Dundee could be relegated.

Mark McGhee remains positive though citing gradual improvements as a source of confidence that things might turn their way at just the right moment. That seems a long shot but it’s an attacking looking side who will be desperate to put some pressure on St Johnstone in 11th.

St Mirren can officially secure their Premiership status and will be looking to build some positivity after a strong result in Perth last weekend. Do that and it’s all about reshaping for next season.

You could make a case that this is even better than the invincible season of 2016-17, because of the amount of rebuilding and work that had to be done at Celtic.

  7. 'Hearts scored too early' - Neilsonpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    FT: Celtic 4-1 Hearts

Hearts boss Robbie Neilson tells BBC Sportsound: "Until Celtic scored we controlled where the game was getting played.

"But they are very good team and if you give them opportunities they’ll score goals. We scored a wee bit too early to be honest."

On Celtic's equaliser: "It’s a free-kick [on Toby Sibbick], the referee has made a poor decision again. We need to move on from it. We have a cup final in two weeks time so I don’t want to talk too much about that."

On missing players returning for the cup final: "If we didn’t have the cup final most of these guys would be done for the season. We’re trying to push them because we have the final, but it’s whether we can push them enough without them breaking down."

  8. 'Celtic reaction was outstanding' - Postecogloupublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    FT: Celtic 4-1 Hearts

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou tells BBC Sportsound: "I'm really proud of the group. We went a goal down early and you wonder how they're going to react, knowing there's a nervousness around the stadium.

"But this group of players refuses to lose belief and they are just relentless. Our football was outstanding. Craig Gordon [Hearts goalkeeper] was outstanding again.

"The mentality of the team, they're not shaken off the path at all. They've bought into the football team we want to be. It's been a massive collective effort.

"Nothing changes, whatever happens on Wednesday, we'll go hard at it. We'll come here in the final game and go hard at it again."

Judging by this pic ⬇ maybe he's going to try and avoid any score updates from Livingston v St Johnstone since he needs the Perth side to slip up too.
