Will Dundee United be more adventurous at home to Celtic on Wednesday?

The game plan today was all about sitting deep and frustrating Rangers. After James Tavernier tucked in his 55th minute penalty, there was no plan B.

United, who stay fourth - one point clear of Motherwell, end the season away to Ross County next weekend.

Rangers will be at home to Ross County on Wednesday and that will probably mean more game time for some of the club's fringe players.

Leon King strolled through his first start today, while fellow teenagers Alex Lowry, Charlie McCann and Adam Devine got a taste of the action in the second half.

A routine win for Rangers keeps the title race going until Wednesday at least.

Celtic are now six points in front with two games remaining.

If the leaders take anything from Dundee United in midweek, the Scottish Premiership crown is theirs.

Into stoppage time. We're pretty much at walking pace now.

Rangers are knocking it around under little pressure. Both teams are just waiting for the final whistle it would seem.

Aaron Ramsey has got 78 minutes under his belt as he comes back from a minor injury. Glen Kamara, who was terrific in the midweek win over RB Leipzig, is on to help see the game out for Rangers.

Rangers keeper Jon McLaughlin is the calmest person in the stadium as he stops a fizzing pass-back from Connor Goldson just a foot in front of the goal-line. A nice first touch from McLaughlin, who has had virtually nothing to do all day.

Amad Diallo tucks the ball calmly into the corner but he seemed to know he was offside before converting.

For the second time today, Tony Watt goes for a dramatic tumble - and for the second time referee Steven McLean simply ignores the Dundee United striker.

Young guns Alex Lowry, Charlie McCann and Adam Devine are on for Rangers. It's a debut for Devine.

James Tavernier, Borna Barisic, and Scott Arfield are off for a rest.

Amad Diallo doesn't seem too troubled by that nasty tackle as he leads another Rangers attack, working the ball out to Fashion Sakala, who sees his shot deflected wide.

Diallo has another drive forward moments later, fizzing an angled shot wide by a couple of metres.
