  2. HALF-TIME Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-0 Arbroathpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 10 May 2022

It took some time but this game is showing signs of being a pretty decent clash.

Logan Chalmers fizzed one off the bar and Nicky Low's free-kick was palmed wide as the half drew to a close.

Hopefully a clinical touch is found in the second half and we can bring you some goals.

Wonderful strike from Logan Chalmers. You can hear what it's done to the crowd. The first real moment of excitement for the home support.

    Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-0 Arbroath

Logan Chalmers picks up the ball just outside the area and drags his shot wide.

Not quite as eye-catching as his shot that hit the crossbar, but he is beginning to find pockets of space around the box.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 40 mins

    Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-0 Arbroath

A left-footed whipped free-kick from Nicky Low is met by a strong Mark Ridgers hand to claw it away.

This game is beginning to come to life.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 37 mins

    Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-0 Arbroath

Logan Chalmers fizzes a 20-yard drive off of the bar.

So, so close to an opener.

  7. CLOSE!published at 35 mins

    Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-0 Arbroath

Arbroath lift in a high free-kick that evades an outstretched leg from Ricky Little.

Any touch on that and it would have likely been an opening goal.

A few half-chances at either end come to nothing as the tempo ramps up again.

Nicky Low fails to break through for the away side as a fast Inverness counter is stopped by a smart Colin Hamilton interception at the other end just moments later.

An Inverness attack wins them a corner as the game hits a bit of a lull.

It's recycled into the box after it was cleared but the attack ultimately fizzles out.

    Inverness Caledonian Thistle 0-0 Arbroath

Some good football is being played by both sides but a lack of cutting-edge so far has the score remaining goalless.

Both of these sides were the Scottish Championship's top-scoring sides throughout the league campaign, here's hoping they keep that form going tonight...

Inverness venture forward but a long, searching ball ends with an Arbroath free-kick going against Billy Mckay as he challenges for a header.

Some neat passing from Arbroath in the middle of the park then sees them keep possession well in the middle of the park.

Jack Hamilton did really well to knock it back across to Michael McKenna. He's a player I really like. He's comfortable in possession of the ball, he's got good awareness about where he is on the park and how he can go and affect the game.

A well-fashioned Arbroath chance ends with Michael McKenna's back-post attempt creeping over the bar.

Jack Hamilton nodded it back across goal for McKenna who was well-positioned at the back stick, but the ball arrived at an awkward height and he was unable to find the target.

A quick spin in the middle of the park from Reece McAlear wins the home side a free-kick, relieving the mounting Arbroath pressure they'd been under.

The ball into the box is poor however, as it sails out for a goal kick.

Inverness are in really good form and peaking at the exact moment Billy Dodds would have been hoping for. They're coming into the play-offs full of confidence and belief.

Scott Stewart gets a shot off under pressure in the box for the away side as he twists on the ball and wins a corner.

Nothing comes from it, but it has been a confident start from Arbroath.

A lot of football is being played in the middle third of the pitch in the opening stages.

A few loose Inverness passes so far have allowed Arbroath to enjoy more of the ball as the game gets up to speed.

It'll be a tight game. Arbroath finished six points ahead of Inverness, but Inverness have won their last five home games which might make them slight favourites. Arbroath will just want it all to play for in the second leg.
