Northern Ireland started really well but the Belgians grew into the game and probably deserved their goal and the lead.

Then stepped up Lauren Wade, whose wonder strike left Nicky Evrard with no chance.

That certainly changed Kenny Shiels' half-time team talk and we'll take more of that in a couple of weeks, please!

There are ways to end a half and there are ways to end a half.

And that strike from Lauren Wade in injury time was one of the better ways to do it.

Belgium had started to take control of the game after captain Tessa Wullaert opened the scoring, but that equaliser will give the visitors a huge lift.

Northern Ireland's attacking threat has faded in the Belgian sunshine.

Their bright opening had a lot of promise but they have been surrendering a lot of possession to the hosts, who are worth their one-goal lead so far.

The clever pass. The overlapping run. The calm finish.

That's a quality opening goal from Belgian captain Tessa Wullaert.

Northern Ireland respond quite well to falling behind, forcing their first two corners of the game.

But the Belgians immediately go on the attack again and, with Julie Nelson failing to clear, Hannah Eurlings is presented with a good chance but she fires over the bar.

It's all starts with De Caigny and the quality of the cross coming in. Wullaert was unmarked and our defenders needed to see the runners. The ball cut everyone open and we were on the back foot from there.

That was a let-off for Northern Ireland.

Tessa Wullaert is starting to look more and more threatening. She delivered an in-swinging a left-wing cross that evaded everyone in the box and went through to clip the outside of the far post.

Belgium are starting to get a foothold in this game and are enjoying slightly more possession, but they still haven't threatened Jackie Burrows in the Northern Ireland goal.

Captain Tessa Wullaert just cut inside from the left and tried to get a shot away, but she was under pressure and failed to connect.

Kelsie Burrow has been excellent. She has been aggressive, followed her runners and stepped into midfield when needed. She has fitted in just nicely every time she has played in the back line.

The Belgian band in the stand give us a rendition of Sweet Caroline.

It used to just be a Windsor Park anthem, but quite a few countries seemed to have borrowed it recently.

It's only a loan deal, though.

That was a decent chance for Demi Vance.

A right-wing cross from Abbie Magee made its way to the back post but full-back Vance chose to take a touch rather than strike it first time, and the chance was gone.

Seven minutes played and so far so good for Northern Ireland.

They are showing their usual patience in possession, are pressing high and have had plenty of the ball in forward areas.
